Well I waited 3 months and here it is. I am embarrassed to say that after having driven it for nearly 2 weeks I am in love. I honestly didn’t think that I would like it this much. Granted, the left hand mirror blocks what is in front of you when you are turning left and the trunk can barely hold my computer bag but it is worth it!!!!!

Awesome. what did you get? i see sport package. Did you go Base + sport?

How did your order go? When did you order/receive vin/receive delivery date/receive car?

Grats! I felt the same way except it was day 1 for me :p

Got the touring and the sport. Hard to say how the order went because it was coordinated by my company’s fleet guy. This is actually my company car (how awesome is THAT!!). I know that when I looked into it last November, the only car with the specs I wanted was across the country (in Vancouver and I’m in Quebec). I don’t really know how long it would have taken because I chose to get it in mid March. Winter tires are the law in Quebec so I wanted to receive it in the spring. There aren’t very many Zs here because of our winter conditions. I have to admit that if I was paying for it, I would have also been hesitant about buying a Z given our conditions. Not that I think the Z can’t handle our winters. It’s just that it would have broken my heart to see it covered in salt and mud for half the year!

As soon as I saw a PW in person with the sun shining it was over  That was almost 60 days before I took delivery.

You must have a gigantic computer if you can't fit it in the hatch lol. I've put about $500 worth of food and groceries in mine once. Stacked up to the top, but it fit!

Grats on the new "puppy" :icon14:

So it is a lease then?

Z-Lyne-Z 03-19-2010 01:34 PM

Well I will be testing it's capacity next week when I take it on a 3 day business trip. I don't travel light. I even like to bring my own make-up mirror!!

I guess it's a lease. I don't really know how our fleet car system works. All I know is they get me the car I want, (within a certain price range),hand me a gas card that also covers the regular maintenance and tell me to come back in 3 years for a new one. Bottom line is that it's mine for 3 years and I can get another one after that if I choose to!

Welcome. That is one sweet deal you got going there.

ZCarMan 03-21-2010 09:48 AM

Congratulations and I particularly like the color you chose. Its a labor of love to maintain the look on the black, but when its clean there is no doubt about the look. Enjoy!

Z-Lyne-Z 03-21-2010 05:11 PM

Oh believe me I know what it means to maintain the look of a black car. All of my cars have been black. My last one was a Saab that looked like every other 4 door sedan if it wasn’t clean. In Montreal it’s the worst colour to have because of the salt in winter.

BUT ….. shine it up and marry it with chrome and it makes magic.
