I bought the Anniversary Z at Buena Park Nissan, but they said they were only getting one. I initially went there intending to buy a white Z, but my plan fell apart when they started coming down on the price of the Anniversary. I've stalled the car about 20 times now, but I haven't heard any gear grinding. Hopefully the car suffered no major damages. I'm almost ready to start driving in heavy traffic. After that will be hills! Wish me luck.

You can see more pics in my profile.

That is a great color. I love the way the rims match the paint as well with the red accent brakes. It just pops!

Wow! She looks very Nice
Just don't ride the clutch, so you don't smoke it, and you'll be fine.

Congrats on your 40th anni Z! Beautiful color indeed.

In regards to driving manual, just be patient and practice often. Drive in areas where you feel comfortable and you'll be rowing with ease in no time.

I think the best thing I can recommend to someone learning clutch (I recently went through the same thing), is that when you hear some strange noises, PUSH IN THE CLUTCH and try again. Better to do that then to force anything or stall the car.

It'll take a while to get the muscle memory down--hell, I'm still working on it and it's been just over a month.

What mechanically happens when you stall the car? What do you damage?

ryanboy 03-02-2010 12:33 PM

Jeffblue 03-02-2010 12:57 PM

I test drove a Nismo with a dead battery. i stalled it when the mat got stuck under the pedals (they flip them over to keep them clean). i couldn't turn the car back on. it wasn't fun

Yes, I test drove the automatic and loved the paddle shifters......but with such an innovative technology like SynchroRev that makes shifting easier/smoother on both downshifts and upshifts, I wanted to get a manual.

Thankz for the compliments everyone. One thing of note that you can't tell from my pictures is that there is a graphite and lavender two-tone color. You can't see the lavender when you're in sunlight, but its noticeable when you are in artificial light. Just wanted to let you know since some don't like the purple:)
