New owner of 370z, help with exaust?

Hey everyone, I just signed up in the forum today. I bought a 2009 black 370z MT a little over a month ago. I have been researching for the past month for aftermarket parts. So far i like the borla cat-back system and the GReddy Spectrum Elite SE. I would like to hear feedback on these systems and any systems that i have overlooked. Im looking for a loud tuner sound. Also any reviews on the takeda cold air intake? any advice/imput would be really appreciated. Thank you.

Skip the Takeda, worthless, look at Injen or Stillen for intake
Exhaust: Stillen, Fast Intentions, Berk are pretty popular. The others do not get the attention as those three here but there have been a few who have picked them up.
Besides CBE you might consider high flow cats or long tube headers if you want an even bolder sound note.

:iagree:

The high flow cats and exhaust will make an impressive note....not being too loud tho, but you dont want it boisterous. I have the Nismo CBE, and Stillen dual intakes w/HFC's.....if you want a good exhaust IMO, go for Fast Intentions or Berk.

GTM also has a very nice exhaust from what I've seen, although down the line I will probably replace my Nismo (came with the car) with an F.I.

I would not recommend the Long Tube Headers unless either (a) your state is lenient on inspections or (b) you don't mind putting the stockers back on once a year. Otherwise get some HFC's.

For your first upgrade, I would probably recommend a CAI, either Stillen G3 or the Injen Long Tubes. They show great gains and smoothing, and are inexpensive and fairly simple to install. HP/$ I think they're better than exhaust products.

I went with Stillen CBE and am very pleased with the sound, performance gain, ease of installation and the price. ($1069, shipping included)

congrats! I would avoid the takeda intakes...been shown to actually lose hp on independent dynos.

Where can you get them for 1069 shipped? Am I looking at the wrong thing here:

STILLEN : STILLEN 370Z Dual Exhaust System

Ordered mine back in November when the exhaust went on sale for a short period. Was expecting to spend around $1200, (advertised price on Stillen's web site) then I checked their site a few days later and the price had dropped to $1069 and I could not resist. Lucky timing around the holidays!
