In any case, still a good deed:

That's really a kind thing to do. Let's not forget though, this was also a guy banging a 16 year old girl when he was 33. I guess parents don't bring statutory rape charges when the guy statutory raping their daughter is a Hollywood star with lots of money?

I'm not saying his death isn't sad, but let's pump the brakes on petitioning the Vatican to canonize the dude.

That picture of his burned body in the car sprawled out seems like he was trying to escape, at least for a moment.

I've seen a lot of celebrities pass away in my lifetime, including ones that I really idolized as a child. But it's really surprising how Paul Walker's death really upset me. I mean, I was still in denial 2 days after his reported death. I suppose in my mind, he'll always be the face of import tuning.

It's amazing how many people are mourning this "great" celebrity and social media blows up, but when a true man, a true hero, a true difference maker passes, hardly anyone bats an eye.

RIP Nelson Mandela.

Yep. One is a hero, the other just plays one in movies. One started a charity, which is good. One changed the world, which is better.

Tires from 2004? You would think that owning a shop and getting tires at discount….he would have had newer tires on it...

Not to be pedantic, but Nelson Mandela was going to die at some point. The man should and certainly has been celebrated, no one can argue that, but I'm kinda hoping anyone impacted by him is aware that his time was coming sooner than later, ya know? I get when someone's life (and death) means something to someone, but to get into a discussion about one over another really also needs to include the hundreds (thousands?) who've died in the last two weeks as well. What about them? Are they truly any worse?

I tend to not get into such pissing contests and instead just stick to the moment(s) that matter on a personal level while trying not to piss on someone else's. :(

PW was a pedophile though, yet still celebrated. That's all we're getting at.

I thought they were called something else when they liked teenagers. A pedophile likes pre-pubescent kids. Paulie liked 16 year old poon. It's good to be rich, huh? Be 33, bang a 16yo girl and instead of pressing statuatory charges, their parents like you. :rofl2:

I still think it's the same thing, TBH.

It's a big age gap, but it really seemed liked they were happy together. A guy who say's he's doesn't find 18 year old girls the least bit attractive is full of shyt. Law's regarding the age of consent is another topic. How can in be 16 in one state and 18 or 17 in other states? It's all an arbitrary number and only relates to sexual relationships anyway. Not defending Paul or anything, just seems poor taste to bad mouth the dead.

It's not arbitrary at all. In CA the age of consent is 18. Had he not been rich and famous, he would have been prosecuted and most likely would have served time.

What I mean is, what make's 18 years.... or for that matter 16, some magic number that automatically makes you an adult. It's just some arbitrary measure of maturity and what we as a society consider an adult. Yeah I know. It's kinda fuq'd up a 33 year old dating a 16 year old, but this is nothing new.
