because Season 1 started when he turned 50... And the day after, he found out he had cancer... Then in season 5 (Episode 3) he turns 51... And at the beginning of season 5 they show he's 52 with a new identity (obviously foreshadowing... So either he used "Haji's quick vanish" (which I suspect he did) or is in witness protection (which I doubt)
With using Haji's quick vanish, like witness protection, you're supposed to leave town with your new identity, so why is he back in NM???
I can only suspect he's there for his family?

Love this show - been a fan since day 1.

At the beginning of s5e1, when he has his little birthday cake in the diner - doesn't he then go out to his car & you see some serious firepower in the boot?

It looks to me like he's about to open up a rather large can of whoop-*** on someone, so I'd say witness protection is off the cards & it's more like he's out for revenge... But for what?

ahh yeah the Mr Lambert scene...thats reportedly a preview of the 2nd to last episode of the entire series so im guessing a lot of **** goes down before he reaches that point in the next 6 episodes. he celebrated his 51st toward the end of this season so that was full year in the future with the bacon "52" you can also tell his cancer is back from that scene aswell and the heizenberg persona is gone so it seems like its a prelude to a last stand. for what i dont know im guessing maybe to save jesse from something but who knows. knowing breaking bad it could be something completely off the wall from what we are thinking. The dynamic between him and hank is going to be interesting these last 8 episodes because yes hank now knows who he is but its pretty much done i mean the thing with the money and how he is allegedly "out" its almost like hank is powerless even with the knowledge of it at all at this point

I just started watching this, currently about midway through season 2
awesome show! (gives me some ideas for what to do in my spare time now XD)

please dont read my post then. actually go watch them all back to back to back before you read anything online about the show. i can think of a fate worse than being spoiled on breaking bad
