Well, I was never a fan of the lady, but is she less human than the people in Norway? No one is asking you to have sympathy for her. But just like the ones in Norway, she was family to someone. I just think if you don't have anything positive to say about someone who died, which in this case none of us do (not even me), the dead should be left alone.

Frost, if you're mad because her death is getting way too much publicity over others, I can respect that. You are absolutely right. I just think the way you expressed that opinion was a little uncool. Everybody is equal in my eyes. I have to believe that, because the same care I provide for our soldiers, I have to give the same level of care to the enemy that hurt our guys everyday, but that's a little off topic. I don't want to argue with you because I can see that you're upset about this, so this will be my last post on the subject.

I'm not "mad" that her death is getting so much more publicity than the mass killing, it's exactly what I would expect out of a star-fvcker nation like the US, that's more concerned with whether Gene Simmon's wife will leave him than the UN proposing gun controls that directly impacts americans, the out of control budget, etc. What does bother me a bit is someone telling me I should care more about a person than they cared for themselves. She didn't get hit by a drunk driver, or had a piano fall on her, she has been killing herself every day for years. Sorry, but I wouldn't give a **** about someone shooting a gun into the air and having the bullet come back down on them either. And what absolutely chaps my ass is someone who doesn't even pay to be a member of this forum having the brass to be telling me what I should/shouldn't post. This forum is up and running as a result of paying members, and vendors, and as far as I'm concerned, the opinion of freeloaders is of less importance than what's-her-name-again dying.

No, the issue is not that you don't pay to be a member of the site. If this were a member-only forum, there wouldn't be a ton of people for sure. You ignored the first part of my comment, about being expected to care for someone who doesn't care about themselves and picked the portion easier to defend. Like I said, (part of) my issue is nonpaying members trying to dictate what gets posted and what doesn't. As far as posts go, you're free to love them or hate them, that's freedom of speech. And I have the same freedom to make the post in the first place, and defend myself against comments made. Freedom of speech goes both ways.

I'm with you on the freedom of speech going both ways. If at anytime I sounded like I was ordering you to stop posting sh!t talk about people, I take it back.

No worries. I fully support anyone who may want to create a thread discussing what a beautiful voice she had, and what a loss to the music community she may be. As for me, I look at her death like a mercy killing ... like putting a sick animal down. Anyway, cheers for the lively discussion.
