It's just rumored but man, Tesla needs some love.

Tesla invented the radio, remote control, conceptualized VTOL aircraft, developed the first radio controlled weapon which lead to UAVs. Thomas Edison feared him so much he did everything he could to slander Tesla and his inventions. He even went as far as to electrocute live animals.

Anyway, Christian Bale as Tesla? hell yeah.

I am always telling people about Tesla. He was a genius and hardly ever gets any love. Noone knows who he is. He is responsible for Alternating Current people.....do you use electricity????? Then give this guy the props he deserves. Sometimes I hear Marconi getting credit for inventing the radio, but a court case proved it was Tesla. One of Tesla's old labratories is in Shoreham, NY on Long Island. It is like 10min from my house, and I always want to go and break in :tup:

It's a shame really. He had a gift. Edison went through hundreds of attempts to create a lightbulb and Tesla could visualize an object and invent it on the spot. Died penniless..

Bale has been making some interesting movies recently and I bet he wouldn't do Tesla the way he was portrayed by David Bowie in The Prestige.

Btw, go see The Fighter.

The sad thing is that not only did he die penniless, but all alone in a hotel in NYC (the New Yorker I believe, but might be wrong).

I will def have to go check out The Fighter when I get some time. Thanks for the recommendation.

Funny, didn't you guys ever see The Prestige? Two rival magicians, Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman try to out do each other. I forget which one of them does it, but they purchase a device from Tesla (played by David Bowie) to perform the greatest magic act ever. But hey, i just watched it 'cause Scarlett Johansson is in it :yum:

What I find amazing is my HS didnt teach us about Tesla at all as far as I can remember.

Bring back Bowie to play tesla! And then bring back his hairdew from Labyrinth (check mustang's avatar)
