So how did the last episode end?

My DVR cut off the last part of it where Rick told the group around the campfire that he had to kill Shane in self defense. Then the recording ended.

Rick got pretty intense after that, and told the group it was his way or the highway. Then the camera panned up beyond the trees and you can see a huge silhouette of a prison across the river. it definitely set the mood for season 3!

Hide out in a prison? Didn't they do that in the latest Resident Evil movie? Pretty good idea IMO, plenty of walls/fences to keep the walkers out. Can't wait for this next season.

Nope, it's season 3. The last few episodes were just the end of season 2. They took a break over the winter like a lot of shows do.
