I both love and hate that they showed some humanity from the Governor in the last episode. His admission that their leader lost it when that chick asked why he left Woodbury, showed me that he hates what he did, at least to a degree, but doesn't make me hate him any less. I am still mad that I was rooting for him to get out of that nursing home though, I should have wanted the walkers to rip him apart.

Tonight's episode felt really slow to me. There was stuff going on, but it didn't really go anywhere until the end. Thankfully the governor is back to his old self and it looks like we may finally get a prison battle similar to the one in the comic. Looking forward to next week.

Meh, feels like last season. I'm kind of bored with it.

Next week should be major carnage.

I get that they needed to show us how the governor got from point A to point B, but the last two episodes were the first two this season that I just had on in the background while I worked around the house instead of watching intently. It just brought the pace of things to a crawl.

A buddy of mine, and also a fan of the comic originally suggested that -- notwithstanding the fact ol' Hank has lost a bit of bulk (must be of the 'roids). he's got the right look and vibe for that character. I could see him and Lucille making "love" to the skull of a certain fan favorite... :icon17: |
That would be a good episode if they did it right. The stuff coming up in the comics is the reason I wish HBO had picked up the show.
I'm afraid it'll get dumbed down too much. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk |
i dunno, i like the backstory. it did seem a bit unbelievable that the governor would flip flop so much at the beginning of the last episode but he was technically in politics after all...

Some back story is nice, I just don't think they have to spend two entire episodes to do it.

Good mid season episode…..Herschel got killed. Kind of a bummer. The prison is destroyed and the group is broke up. i suppose I could go read the comics, but I don;t know which number to read.

sigh... i set my DVR to record when I went on vacay but only the last 2 episodes show up -_-

Long story short: This was a wasted season so far.
Basically, everything is more or less in alignment with the comic now. That is, everyone who is alive or dead -- except for one character
( Click to show/hide )
-- is consistent with the comic, and they sort of kind of resolved some big differences between comic and show (e.g., Rick's baby being dead -- that kid better not show up on the bus...).Except for the guy with the crossbow. He's a good addition, but not in the comic. And a few other random characters, but they aren't critical to the story anyway... Buuuuuut... there was no reason to drag out the actual showdown with the Gov. beyond the fall of Woodbury. None. It added zilch to the story. So far the whole season has been about a bad flu and otherwise we are right where we should have been at the end of last season. Nothing that happened mattered this whole season, EXCEPT for this latest episode. Nothing. Pure filler. Hershel should have been dead from waaaaaay back. He basically just filled in for whatshisface with the hat, right down to the lost leg. Also, losing Andrea was a stupid thing for AMC to do. I Predict they'll reintroduce her -- or another sharpshooter chick (I notice they're kind of grooming that one little girl who saved Tyrell for that) when they come to the next big storyline, which should be...
