Brian: Mia, I'm a cop.
Mia: What are you talking about, Brian?
Brian: Ever since I met you, I've been undercover. I'm a cop.
Mia: Oh, you bastard. You bastard!

Even if that was possible. It would be a pretty weak intake if it cant handle a 100shot. How theres guys with chevy cobalts running a 125 shot and never had issues with the intake..lol.

No matter what is said about these movies. I love them all! I may be old enough to know my civic is not going to beat everything out there and not everyday is a race but my gosh I love these movies.

i agree, I know they r fake as hell...well in most cases. But i own them all and love to watch them. Gets me in the mood when i go drag racing or autox, also gets me in the mood when i know a long and painful job of working on the truck is ahead of me.

Its not as if combustion takes place in the intake. :D Nitrous isn't even flammable.

Snakes709 02-11-2011 11:42 PM

i know, thats why i said even if it was possible..lol. But for a car that has "$15,000" into it, i would hope that it could withstand a 100shot and not blow the welds on the intake...lol. Like i said, theres a guy that has a cobalt and he had a full built engine in the garage waiting to be swapped. So he wanted to see how far he could push his stock engine, he went through 20 bottles or so of a 125 shot, with no timing reduced and the engine wouldnt pop. I think his clutch went before the engine.

That still doesn't touch Predator and its TWO future governors.

I just hope this movie lives up to Dom's claim, "One more job and then we all disappear forever."

yea i'm getting the feeling this is the last F&F, at least with the "old crew" (and hopefully just the last one). that way they can make a trilogy with the OG crew like they should have from the get-go

No matter what, there will be one more cow to milk. The country boy from Tokyo needs his day in the sun.

It's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car.

Somebody likes the series because Hollywood keeps making more.

You need to stop applying logic into these movies. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, its a movie not a documentary. The first movie was awesome because it was soo cheesy. Kind of like wating old episodes of Save by the Bell.

370zproject 02-12-2011 10:21 PM

just enjoy cool cars getting destroyed or lack of that

Lemers 02-12-2011 10:56 PM

You guys mean that movies are supposed to be realalistic?

I always figured the traffic issues were related to racers shutting down the streets. I did think it was odd that these racers brought massive two story tall flood lights to light the roads. :icon17:

Really? I don't think in terms of labor costs since we do most of the work in my garage. I'd imagine the s2k gets charged up by the shops.

On a high HP build, a lot of things add up, including broken parts. Additionally, a lot of the motor work that needs to be done isn't exactly something you want to do in your garage, at least if you want to do it right.

Most people aren't going to be sleeving their block in their basement clean room, hence the need to pay someone.

Beyond that, the dyno time spent getting things right usually winds up costing tens of thousands, since it's really tough to get a driveable high-hp machine.

You're spending at least $9,000 on a transmission that can handle the power, and 3-5k on a differential. Add in some look pretty JDM parts, and you're well over 100k already...

Watching Fast and Furious movies is kind of like watching porn.

-Most people won't admit they like any of the movies, but you know they watch them.
-No plot and your really just waiting for the "action scenes."
-Cheesy dialogue
-The actions scenes end with an "explosion"
-Your girl won't watch it with you unless she's awesome.
-Your a little bit curious to try it out after watching.
-Your sad after watching it, but you'd watch it again.

:icon17:

hahahahahahaha :bowrofl: fantastic analogy mike! btw, my gf loves F&F movies
