Is that radio the model compatible with marine receivers? I need a backup. GLWS on your items, I love the R/C hobby.

I guess you could use a marine receiver, I don't see why not.

The older models are not compatible it would of had a sticker on it with am orange boat if it is.

Just to be clear, you are referring to the SR300 receiver I have on ebay right? If so, this is a surface radio so it is not "recommended" for boats. I did some research and have found people to have used it on boats with 0 issues.
