Wow!
Now for some shots up top  |
That building is totally useless, but awesome at the same time. I hope to visit one day.
awesome pics! I have really enjoyed my visits to Dubai. I'm switching back to a smaller plane now, so I fear I won't be back for a while.
I read somewhere that because of the design of the building, the top 30 or so floors are tiny (and useless).
The pictures make it look so nice. I personally thought it looked very awkward and out of place though. I didn't see it 100% complete, but it was almost done...
Oh you should see it now!
They have those beam projectors keeping that place lit just so nice! |
Sam, do you have any distance shots (night or day)?

There you go!
Not sure I can get any better pix, that thing won't fit in a pic without having a wide lens and a stand lol |

That thing has businesses as one would expect, but don't people have like, apartments in there as well?

Haha sounds reasonable :p
Abu Dhabi Govt had to help Dubai out with billions (no numbers were released) but the amount was large enough basically to have Dubai rename that Skyscraper from Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa (Ruler of Abu Dhabi and President of the country) And that's a lot! |

I would love to see this building in person. I have a thing for architecture and this just blows my mind. I probably will never be over in that corner of the world in my life, though. :(
