hey Chicagoland bros and sis!
Just saying hi. I'm here in Chi-Town and enjoying the visit. Business related and zero sighting. Only saw a 350 nismo and a PW on a dealer lot in Gurnee. Too cold out here compared to Cali. I've been to downtown where I'm staying, Shaumburg, Geneva, South Barrrington, Gurnee, Kildare, Naperville, and Skokie. No sighting. Just want to say, love it here even if it is cold (don't know how you do it). I'm from SoCal but man the traffic here is crazy.

welcome to chicago! hope u enjoying our first real snow day today haha
|
I'll be back on Dec 3-4-5-6 and I don't have winter clothes and I'm dreading it. People telling me their cold weather and chill factor stories worry me. Here in SoCal today it was in the upper 70's.

pm me next time your in town. I was just in San Francisco this past Thursday and Friday , no sitings for me either |
I was there a few weeks ago. Jan 26-29th. It was too darn cold about -1 and -16 windchill. Went out along Michigan Ave for about a dozen blocks or so from our hotel and back. Never experienced anything like it. Dinner at the Pump Room and team building activity at the Chopping Block. I really like it out there. Chicago is a great city.
Back again to enjoy it in two weeks. Hope it isn't as cold. |
it will be lol
|
Warmer in the 30's next week. Now that I can handle with 3 layers and a shot.

The "Polar Vortex" has become the "El-Nino" of the midwest.
Unexplainable, but often blamed weather phenomena. ha ha. |
won't have any sightings either with all the Z's sleepinggggg until atleast April/May
|
Back here this weekend. Hitting the touristy areas. Weather's great, food's great, and I spotted a sport monty blue Z on Michigan Ave. today. Just imagining where I could take my car out here where there are great streets in downtown for a fun cruise and just to listen to her scream.

Help finding great places to eat in downtown.
Been here often and mostly for business. Now it's for fun I need help from you finding a great place to eat here in Chicago. Want to impress the wife and my 12 yr old girl for dinner. Any ideas! I'm here on Columbus and Lake so it's close to a lot of places. I know Yelp but need to hear from you guys from Chicago.

Went to Joe's with my wife and daughter. Scored points on both. Ordered their ribeye, daughter got the skirt steak, wife had the dover sole and their crab. Awesome suggestion. Bottle of wine and a shirley temple. It was a win. Very pricey though.
Also went to Volare last night. Very good Italian dinner. My mom's risotto can beat these guys though, no offense. Went to Portillo's for the Chicago dogs and Lou Malnatti's for the pizza. Total caloric intake 1 billion. Thank you Chicago. Back there next week for work and some volunteer/philanthropic event. |
