How hard was install with the replacement studs? I was considering a shop to do spings and spacers at once...

I just put my test pipes on last Monday. I actually feel a difference in mid range power. And I'm enjoying the louder exhaust note!

That sounds pretty close to mine. Do you get a metallic sound right around 2500-2700 rpm?

Not to sure, wife accidentally ordered the DRM bolt-ons for the front, sent them back today, and awaiting the stud replacements. I am not worried about the install. It looks super simple. But I have had a lot of experience wrenching on cars....I had a VR-4!

If anyone needs stuff installed. Let me know, I have a pretty well stocked garage and will install stuff for a very reasonable price

I miss my VR-4 though. Damn Z is to reliable :)

Here is a few pics of the ol' girl

Not to change the subject, but my husband was following me home in his Mazdaspeed today and we were showing off for each other, and he said at one point I had a big puff of black smoke coming out the tailpipes when I had high rpms in 1st and shifted to 2nd. He said it smelled rich too. I'm guessing this has to be normal since my car is only a year old. But it seems weird. Any of you guys have this? I didn't redline it or anything, maybe 6000 rpms?

I should probably post in one of the other forums but wanted to run it by you guys first...

And.. unrelated.. I definitely need you guys to show me how to take off faster. He was on my butt WAY more than a Mazdaspeed should have been... haha

That is just carbon. Most new cars will do that if you floor it. Like you said, more cars do run rich. It if a safety feature that Nissan programs into the cars computer. If a car runs lean it can damage the engine very quickly. That is another reason our cars can benefit a lot from tuning. By leaning the air/fuel mixture a little bit, they are able to extract more power.
