got any iowA driving routes?

Anyone have any decent roads/loops to drive in the Iowa area? Just a bit curious, as in a few weeks I'll have my first car that I actually want to go on driving trips with.

To contribute, here is a link to some motorcycle routes (a bit biased towards small town visits and bars):

That site is a great reference. I use it when I go to Branson and drive the roads around there.

Omaha based INTRO! takes a few trips a year in the Loess Hills starting in Council Bluffs with a stop in Beebetown. I have driven that route a couple of times and it's pretty impressive.

I've been wondering the same thing. The biggest problem for me is we don't have any roads that aren't falling apart around here.

The BMW Ultimate Drive app is interesting, but it's a bit clunky; use it a while and you get used to it. Also, it's littered with people's "I'm planning this road trip" routes, instead of scenic, driver's routes. There are some in there, but you're going to need to hunt a bit.

It doesn't help that one person's view of "scenic" might be straight roads amidst rolling corn fields dotted by quaint farmhouses. Meh. I get that it's not an Interstate, but a fun drive that does not make.

It helps if you're more specific too. Iowa is a big state. What part? In general, roads near rivers are typically more windy and challenging.

Hop in that Z and drive to southern California. Some of the best roads in the country are there.
