I need help.

Is there any speed shops in arizona that works on boosted 370z's that are really good? My car feels like its in limb mode it drives perfect under 4k rpm but once you get to 4k rpm it stutters and jerks around.

The370zguy12 12-18-2012 12:04 PM

I think it may be a tune issue or afr issue it happens at 4k when boost starts to build.

The370zguy12 12-18-2012 12:24 PM

it could be this OBDII Code P0106 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem | Nissanhelp.com is this a tuneing issue?

SouthArk370Z 12-18-2012 12:46 PM

Any DTCs?

hey south sorry what does dtc's stand for?

XwChriswX 12-18-2012 12:54 PM

In Phoenix, the only shops I can think of are VividRacing, DynoComp, you'd have a better chance if you drove out to SoCal and talked to GTM... I'm sure that's not what you'd like to do, but AZ isn't prevalent for tuning shops.

Diagnostic Trouble Code. Your car is amazing good at figuring out what's wrong and doesn't mind sharing. Get an OBD scanner (you can borrow or rent one at most auto parts stores), plug it into the DLC (under the dash, next to the steering column. AKA OBD port), read DTC(s), look up code on the 'Net.

what plugs and what gap are u running?

Sounds like you are exceeding the range of the MAP sensor. "The PCM looks for any change in manifold pressure to be preceded by a change in engine load in the form of changes in throttle angle, engine speed, or Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) flow. If the PCM doesn't see any of these factors change while detecting a rapid change in MAP value, it will set a P0106."

I had the same 106 MAP code 10 miles after boost..no worries

Did you try disconnecting the battery?

You can leave it sit for a minute or two connect it and try to start it.

Disconnecting the battery might help. At this point, it's certainly worth a try. It clears volatile memory in the control modules. I haven't tried it, but I've heard that pumping the brakes will discharge everything almost instantly.

You'll lose your radio presets and probably have to reset the windows. The ECM will forget it's on-the-fly tuning data and will have to relearn before the engine will run right. You will have to go through a few drive cycles before everything gets back to normal.

some people told me i may need to go buy a new map sensor and findout what bank its on 1 or 2 and replace it but since i wiped out the thrown code i cant find out the bank, so your suggesting unplug battery for a little bit then restart the car? you think i should let it idle for a little bit and shut it off then do it again afterwards before i take it out for a little cruise to give it time to reprogram?

They may have meant MAF sensor, since there is only one MAP sensor.

If a MAF sensor is the problem, try cleaning them first.

If the MAF sensor is the problem the car won't run well at low RPM and crappy above 4k,and yes there is only 1 MAP sensor.and if the car starts go drive it you don't have to wait around.
