Branson Z Fest 2013

It's not too early to start pimping this event. The official dates are May 31-June 2 but folks usually arrive before that or depart after. Expect to see 100+ Zs, Gs, GT-Rs, and other Nissan's plus 200+ people! Expect to hit some of the most spectacular roads you'll ever drive in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. I don't remember the registration fee but it is minimal and rooms were only $55/night last year.
One of the great things about Branson is that 99% of the people stay at the same hotel. That makes for a lot of "inter-acting" and socializing. Some of the socializing lasts all night! :)
Registration will not be open for several months but mark it on your calendar now.

The dates have been confirmed. The officially listed dates are May 31st and June 1st HOWEVER those are the dates for officialy events. Friday is drag racing and Saturday is the car show.

As I stated earlier, most people, including myself, start arriving Tuesday and spend the week driving the great roads in southern Missouri and northern Arkansas. Maps for suggested drives are provided and you can take off on your own (which is what I usually do), start up a group, or join a group. One of the drives you drive your car onto a ferry and ride across Bull Shoals Lake either from Missouri to Arkansas or vice versa.

If you're on ChicagoZ.com there's a crew from there that comes down.

Re. Branson Z Fest 2013 website, I'm told it's being polished upand should be open soon for registration.

FYI, our contact at the hotel is NOT Veronica. Ask for Angie.

Re, Branson Z Fest this confusion seems to pop up every year....Registering for BZF does NOT reserve your hotel room. Reserving your hotel room does NOT register you for Branson Z Fest! Two separate actions. Just sayin'....

Branson has some of the best roads in the midwest (fun wise) from what I hear. I have never gone myself, but people from Chicago said it's a lot of fun and if you like to drive on winding back roads, it's the place for you! :driving:

Around Eureka Spings AR has THE most AWESOME roads I've ever driven thus far, but best on a bike so u can pass the slow a**es. Nothing pisses me off more than being stuck behind a grandma on a curvy rd In a sports car... With a bike at least u can blast past till the next grandma.

Im still debating of going. Its a 10 hour drive which means I have to plan a longer weekend than what i would like for travel days

Branson is a very laid back, low/no stress event. The only scheduled events are the drag strip and the People's Choice car show Saturday. It's all voluntary and you're not "required" to do anything.

There are drives but, for insurance liability reasons, they are informal and not an official part of BZF. Maps are provided and folks organize there on cruizes.

I have driven the roads around Eureka Springs and will again. Eureka is only maybe 2 hours from Branson and from there I hit the road to the Pig Trail. Most of the routes I drive go through Harrison, AR., only about 30 minutes south of Branson.

Re. slow drivers, yes, you'll always have that. What has surprised me are the locals in their 4WD pick ups. I've gotten behind some and it's a challenge to keep up.

Typically, I arrive on a Tuesday and spend Wednesday-Friday driving different routes.

Hope to see a lot of you there!

BTW, a guy from Joplin with a white 350Z Roadster was planning on starting a Z Club in Joplin. I don't know how far he's gotten with it.
