Hello friends. It is with great sadness I am announcing that I will be parting with my beloved Z soon. I hoped this moment would never come, but my wife is pregnant with our first and she's already having a hard time getting in and out of the car. And when the baby comes, obvious issues exist. I am hopeful to get back into the z in the years to come when my family situation changes.

Anyway, this is a feeler if anyone would be interested to trade their stockies (plus $2,500 cash) or sport rays for my exceptional-condition oem nismo wheels and tires with less than 2,000 miles on them. I am giving you guys first dibs, because I know these wheels are usually a hot item. Message me your offers, if interested.

A couple of you will remember me from our first meet and saw the wheels on my black non-nismo. There are a couple pictures of 'em from the first meet.

Thank you! Next car (for this family man) will most likely be a GTI. Although I might end up with a TDI. Diesels are really efficient and am thinking is the way to go for my situation right now. (diapers are expensive I hear:D). But i know that the seventh generation of golf is due so I'd feel bad if I were to get a 6 and a year later 7 comes out. So still many open questions...

Gti is a fine choice. Its high on my list to replace my DD next year. I didn't realize they are coming out soon with the next Gen, ill have to look into that.

You are quite right about diapers being expensive. don't underestimate them, along with baby food :ugh2:

There was a decent size meet yesterday in roughly the same vicinity. Portillo's on 83 just south of 64/north ave. ~11-2pm. Had a good showing too, ~20-30 cars showed up.

yep, that was the ChicagoZ meet :tup:. I wasn't able to make that one.

We have a 2010 golf tdi and its an awesome little car. Great mileage (45-50 mpg). Its not as fast as the gti but great for a DD.

Just as an FYI, the forecast says 60% of rain with thunderstorms. I'll check again in the morning, but if the forecast doesn't change, our cars & coffee meet is cancelled. The big car meet at 2:00 PM however is rain or shine :tup:
