on the other hand there was just some straight trash there. and not just there I know everyone has to start somewhere, but in the way. And such a lack in taste. I've never seen so much fake carbon fiber.:shakes head:

poorly organized too, at least for how many people showed up. As far as kc trends as a location, it's actually a pretty horrible spot for a meet/show. In the past i guess it just seemed to work. Nice cars parked close, family cars/on lookers didn't park in prime spots. everyone didn't show up and hour early.

still had a blast, just curious to see if this behavior continues.

i completely get where you are coming from on this one. it was kinda odd to see lamborghini's and supras hidden in the bank parking lot across the street because there was no room left to show them off in the main lot. they said on fb that there would be some "new rules" for future fast fridays posted soon, and i imiagine that they will have something to do with this issue. but i think once they get the new ff format smoothed out that would be great.

btw jackson, you and your dad's z33's are soooo sexy. its nice to see some 350's that are well taken care of and not just used and abused. pretty sure my gf wants to own both of those rides.

On a side note: has everyone realized that in the last year that we've been doing stuff we have NEVER just gone on a cruise thru some back roads or anything... i got some thoughts a brewin... :stirthepot:

thanks, wasn't smack talking i love that there is something auto realated to do. but look in most of ur pics is a sick whip sitting next to stock daily drivers.

me too disappointed about 350z's around this town. wish i was west coast. afraid some owners in this town will ruin the reputation of 350z's, and they will turn into a 3000gt or eclipse.

We definitely need to start more meets among us. I will help for sure....

this pic says it all, plus we're all in it.

look at all those people standing in front of the overdone car in the pic drooling over it :roflpuke2:

I agree, there were some questionable cars there for sure! On the back of KCT I saw a beater of an Olds Alero(?) with dents and about 2/3 of it's interior missing.

KC Trends had to walk a thin line to deal with the city of Overland Park. I suspect if they promoted it as Fast Fridays, organized/directed the parking, etc. it would have been viewed as an "event" thus requiring a multitude of permiits. Instead the said it was "extended showroom hours" and people just showed up.

I read on Facebook that, in the future< it would be presented as "extended showroom hours".

Couldn't agree more. So many crap cars parked up front. With this being my first I was amazed to see the high end cars in the back and all the WTF cars up toward the front. I think I seen more beaters than nice cars ....Really who hasn't seen a mustang before ...just saying.

I have it from a great source that once again, this Friday, the 20th, KC Trends will once again have "extended showroom hours".

edub370 04-17-2012 01:35 PM

Unfortunately I don't think i will be making this weeks ff.

VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ! FAST FRIDAYS Information.

As many of you know we started our first extended hours for the spring/summer on April 6th, the turnout was HUGE, we were overwhelmed to say the least with the amount of people and incredible cars. BUT the city of Overland Park was not so thrilled. KC Trends wants and will do whatever it takes to keep everyone and everything safe during our extended hours on Fridays so we are working with the local OP Police as well as encouraging them to make sure the laws are being obeyed. KC Trends does not want to see anyone hurt by doing stupid or reckless things. Here are a few rules that MUST be followed to insure FAST FRIDAYS extended hours stay safe for everyone.

#1 - NO STREET RACING. This is common sense but many youtube videos were brought to our attention by the OP police from last Friday night. The people who stand at the exits of KC Trends and the Blue Moose who have cameras and yell at cars to break the laws will be asked by KC Trends and OP Police to leave.

#2 - NO ALCOHOL. This is a city law and since we do not have a permit, alcohol is not allowed and you could be ticketed for drinking.

#3 - NO PETS. This means no animals of any kind, dogs, snakes, rabbits, jabowakeez, or cats are all included.

#4 - PLEASE KEEP YOUR CAR STEREOS DOWN. The neighboring houses are our biggest concern with this and we want to make sure they are happy and not bothered around dinner time with excessive noise, these are our neighbors 365 days a year not just duing FF, so we want to keep them happy.

#5 - NO LITTERING. Please find a trash can for any garbage you have. After every FF KC Trends staff gets in at 7:30 Saturday morning and you would be surprised at the amount of trash that is left, not so much on our property but the parking lots around us, Please help us enforce this, if you see anyone leaving trash on the grounds please ask them to pick it up or find a KC Trends employee or security person.

Sorry for these "Rules" but Im sure if you have been to a FAST FRIDAYS extended hours you understand that when this many people show up we need to keep everyone and the millions of dollars in cars safe.

Thanks,
Chad Dearth
KC Trends Motorsports."

damn no more bringing my dog i guess...... ghey rule

sboden 04-18-2012 11:04 AM

Overland Park is the most restrictive city in Johnson County....I wouldn't live there.

JacksonZ33 04-18-2012 11:36 AM

ya it's pretty bad, but I would have to say that Prairie Village is far worse, but i do live there. (they sent officer to my door when i was little cuz mom wouldnt register our cat)

you'd think overland park would be used to large gatherings / would be more welcoming to bring business and people to their side of town.

hell let people speed and burnout, just means you get to pull them over = more money for your city.
