Dork!

I don't want to run with a front license place but know I will be a cop magnet. So I want to put a smoke cover over at least the front. But MN is pretty anal about that too. Grrr. I'm going to try it at least.

Ordered (or will with cash in hand tomorrow) my Swift R-specs, spacers, and FI w/18" resonators from Mr. 1cleanZ himself!

Tonight I am swapping out my map bulbs for red LEDs. I might have to use orange but we'll see. Three from superbrightleds.com were only $12 with shipping so, meh. Next week will be springs and spacers then November (ugh! Haha) will be Fast Intentions goodness. Not sure I can wait until November to do -something- so I am sure an oil cooler is in my fall future. >.<

See everyone tomorrow night.

Feel free to just bring a check. I don't want to carry cash around. If the check bounces, I know where to find ya ;)

I never ran a front plate on my G ...and won't on my Z. Just act dumb when getting pulled over and say the car never had one, and you didn't know where to mount it. Most cops won't mess with a "classy" or a "non-riced" out car. They show quite a bit of respect for guys that don't drive around like idiots too.

SmoothZ 08-02-2013 05:15 PM

:D See you guys tonight at Sonic. Starts at around 7pm. Try to save spots for everyone.

1cleanZ 08-02-2013 09:22 PM

See you @ 1 Tomorrow. Last 2 days of work got the best of me. Resting up tonight with the pup and will be ready to rock tomorrow! Also doing Auto-X on Sunday

Excited to see your new stance!!!!!

As for paint, I've always taken my G's down to Hastings, MN to Waynes Autobody.

I've come accross another good shop up in Maplewood that I'll get back to you on. Kline Nissan was going to send my wife's altima to Abra for warranty work which I put a HUGE STOP to, so they took it to another shop which they color matched perrrrrfect, which pearl white is legit work.

Arrvaxx 08-13-2013 05:10 PM

Ugh, dude. I might have to drive my motorcycle or Altima. I broke a shock taking it off and am told the replacement it will be here Thursday...which I have no confidence in. Actually, I broke a shock seal. Car has been on jacks for a week now. BUT the good news...the three wheels done look swwwweeeeeeeeet! Haha.

How'd you manager to do that? hmm... glad you have a new one on the way atleast. I wanna seeeeeeeeee!!!

Arrvaxx 08-14-2013 06:17 PM

I'll tell you in person on Friday. :D

So it came in today and I 'worked from home'. I got it in and it made a terrible grinding sound so I took it off. I think I had the bottom of the spring too close to the 'lip'. Ok, I've done this twice I can do it again right? Haha...no. I couldn't compress the spring enough to get the top hat nut back on. So I took the pieces to a local shop and they were kind enough to put it back together for me. Shoved it in and no grind!

NEVER doing springs again...done...over...end of story!

I haven't put the camber arms on the rear yet. I'm going to let things settle and then do it I think.

The camber arms are very easy to install, just 2 bolts. Just be careful of the inside one, it has a locking washer on it which you definitely don't want to spin.

Arrvaxx 08-15-2013 10:56 AM

Yeah my concern was money for the alignment afterwards but I just got done driving her and with the current camber it doesn't feel right. Maybe it is just the springs but either way...I'll install them tonight. Have an alignment scheduled for tomorrow. Then a wash before Sonic! Haha.

yeeeeah, I wouldn't drive it at all until you get the camber kits on there and its alligned. Your toe is probably way off which will cause you to eat right through your tires.

Arrvaxx 08-15-2013 03:47 PM

Just got done putting them on. Two bolts my ***! It was three and a half! Had to loosen the sway (?) mound to get the bolt out. :p

The camber actually looks better but the toe is so off it made me grin. The drive around the block was entertaining. Can't wait to get the alignment done tomorrow and drive her. Jez, it's been over a week.

You can get away without taking the bolts to the sway off, just have to finagle the bolt a bit :) Its a challenge, but can be done. Did it on both my G37 and my Nismo. Glad you have it allllllll ready for an allignment!

1cleanZ 08-16-2013 10:04 AM

Spotted ANOTHER 370 out my window, this one a 40th with exhaust. hmmmm....gunna start hanging a sign out my window to get their a$$es on here!!!

Arrvaxx 08-16-2013 12:45 PM

See you guys tonight.

New logo for the biz Lance? Nice!

Guys I need some of your thoughts. It is time to start thinking about a front bumber. I'm definitely going Nismo on the sides and rear but I keep going back and forth between the Nismo and Fujimura for the front. The Fujimura is just so...badass. Haha.

Do you guys think it is 'too' much? Unlike the attached I would black out the front somehow. I don't like how you can see so much of the guts.

I think it would be a very clean setup. Not to mention, the opening in the front would be more functional then the Nismo front for your future plans :)

1cleanZ 08-20-2013 05:09 PM

SCOTT!!! Did you just drive by my office!??!?!?!?!

SmoothZ 08-20-2013 07:59 PM

B, got your PM. I've never used Amsoil before. Where can I find products and pricing?

Winn 08-21-2013 10:31 PM

I saw it all over the shelves at Napa the other day while getting some filters for our other cars. I was surprised I didn't know they carried it, anyway I was not shopping for it so didn't check out the price.

Arrvaxx 08-22-2013 09:59 AM

NAPA the chain doesn't sell it. But each store can order directly if they like.

I have found that the prices on the website are the same as in the store.

Ordering tonight if anyone wants some.

Thank bud for the offer but I'll have to pass this time around.

Just so you know I haven't forgotten about you. Working on the full breakdown for you. Was on the phone trying to get every detail on pricing last night and get you hooked up.

Arrvaxx 08-22-2013 10:24 AM

No worries. Not like the parts are in stock. :D

And I'm going to want the clutch and flywheel some time in September. I'm going to have that installed locally before shipping the car to CA so add shipping costs to that.

1cleanZ 08-23-2013 11:57 AM

Who's up for a cruise on September 1st (Labor day weekend?!)

I'd love to, but I can't. Work has me on a leash that weekend, and then Tara's birthday is on Monday.

1cleanZ 08-26-2013 04:57 PM

Happy Monday! Tested out the cruise route for next Sunday, glad Emad and I did. One of the roads is completely closed down half way through for construction. Found another one though to take its place :) Should be a great time!

1cleanZ 08-29-2013 09:28 PM

Most likely won't be @ sonic tomorrow night with the cruise taking place on Sunday....
