well.... i would like to say i have been 100% sold on my z, but car payments do get old. with that being said, i do love this car. its nice turning heads like i'm driving a $200k car when i take it out.

there are other options for your car purchase. maybe a newer 350? base 370's are going for like $21k now too

Same. I had an 04 350Z, with a full Ing N-Spec kit, springs, intake, wheels, CBE, Test pipes, intake, plenum/spacer, CF hood and spoiler and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. It was a lot of fun, but with the Nismo, I feel like I started better than where I left off, which to me is a great thing. It's stylish and turns heads, performs better than my 350Z, and makes me happy every time I turn it on. Which is why I'm not totally sweating putting aftermarket parts in it yet.

Looking at that list above kinda makes me sad a little.

ya cause honestly could have darn near had a 370 if i hadnt been buynig stuff all the time

might go look at a white 350 nismo today, been a this dealership for more than 6mo now. asking 24k

another part of me wants and evo.

Well he said he's gonna first try the extended warranty company (because that's the right route). If they don't pay then I'm gonna tell them I want a refund (probably never see a dime) and start a more diligent effort to find a new car (maybe a 2013 Shelby or Boss)

Randy Reed has a used 2010 vert in blackcherry for $28k. Nav with grey interior.

is that the nismo your dad took a picture with on the scavenger hunt?

i wanted an evo before my z. great handling, great power..... then i sat in one. didnt even drive one to determine i could not live with that interior quality. its baaaaaaaaaad

plus, i wouldn't trust mitsu to be in business more than 5 more years

Yes it's the same nismo.

Ya seems like a lot of stuff would break on the evo. I love the z community too, so that would be weird to abandon.

Really don't think I would buy a 370 base. Would only cost more in the long run.

edub370 01-24-2013 10:12 PM

That 350 nismo is amazing looking. I vote that route

Funny what you said about Mitsu going out of business. I recently read an article and the writer said the exact same thing. The majority of Mitsu line up is out of date and they don't have the money to update. Basically, they only have money to freshen up the bodies and not the platforms. Kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. Also, the Mitsu dealer network is shrinking/abandoning ship.

Well it seems that most people don't want to give up there exhaust or they don't have the stock exhaust. Soooooo the kit without anything will be $3000. That means you don't have to give me crap except money for the kit. I got stock cats and an exhaust set on standby.
Also you will have to get new wiring for the kit. Just tearing out the interior wiring has been a f'ing beating and not trying to make this tear out take 2 weeks. Now I just need to get it on the lift and the rest should come out in a matter of days.

so put a new thermostat in and still overheating, and even while overheating my lower radiator hose is still way cold (ie thermo not opening)

put my "broken one" on stove last night and it opened. im at a loss

Have u looked inside radiator so see if the fluid is flowing?
Have u cleaned or replaced yr radiator?
Could be a clogged heater core?
Do u still get hot air blowing from vents?

I ask these as I make sure all these are ok before I go to compression check and leak down test. I've delt with a lot of subaru's with bad headgaskets lol.

JacksonZ33 01-25-2013 12:00 PM

ya replaced radiator 6mo ago.

im 95% sure its not flowing, the lower hose is cold, so its getting hotting and not getting past the thermo. but lie u said could be something else before thermo

the air bubble would have to be bigger than my fist to keep the coolant from heating it up the thermo. and really the air would get pushed thru the little relief hole

when I remove lower hose, small amount of coolant is making it thru the relief hole. just not fully opening.:icon14: even when well above 170

some1 said just remove the thermostat, or drill the relief hole way bigger

Gotta love the P-90.

On a side note..it doesn't take much or time to get a Z back to stock on this forum. Maybe $570 or so to get the car back to stock. I might be screwed on the cubby hole though.

2013 Nismo here I come....pun intended.
