Minneapolis Z's and movie meets
I figured that this is another way to get a group together for guy's night out.
I remember going to see a F&F movie in Edina a few years ago. We should do something like that more often. So let's start this season with the next movie in the F&F series. Fast Five (2011) - IMDb April 29th is the opening date, but we could go anytime that weekend. Let's try and pick a central location with good parking and go there for a meet and greet for about an hour before the show starts. Let me know what you guys think. In the meantime, I'll start the list. 1. Dave 2. Greg 3. |
We're thinking of doing the 30th matinee in Lakeville with their Muller monster screen. Parking is pretty good, and the theater is easy to get to.

sounds fun! count me in.

Two more weekends! At this rate, I'm hoping the weather is in the 70s that day. :happydance:

I suppose you can add me to the list. I'll come on by. Is that the theatre that is just right off 35W south?

Yes, it's the one on the west side of the freeway. I forget the exit, but it's not hard to miss. You can see the theater.
|
Prepare to be the oldest one in the theater Dave, that's what happened to me when I saw F&F 4 :icon17:
The funniest part was seeing all the ricers leave the parking lot after the movie! |

Hopefully, none of those ricers run into our cars. |

One more thing, I'm looking for a location that is away from all main cities. Preferably a location that overlooks the sun as it sets. Either a cliff with an open west side scenery or a flat desert land with a good open view of the sun as it sets. Location has to be all nature, no cities in sight. I'm not going to bury any bodies there, just shoot some photos. :icon17: :wtf2: |
Just FYI, I'm helping plan a professional photo shoot which will include models and scenic backgrounds. We're thinking of putting together a collage of pics for each member. I want a poster or two with mine.
|
I know you guys seem set on the lakeville theater but the SXHD screen in Burnsville blows lakevilles monster screen out of the water, and its only 5 mins from lakeville.

I don't need a model to pose with my Z. I was going to pose with my vehicle for just one photo, which is why I'm looking for a good sunset backdrop in Minnesota somewhere. I just don't want to get lost looking for a location, LOL! I am thinking of making a little video if anyone is interested. Just need a lot of cars, a good stretch of freeway, and an HD camera, along with some specific locations to shoot some of the car scenes. :) |

Arc, if you're cruising with us on May 7th, you'll find some nice, winding roads to shoot that video.
No one HAS to have a model in their pic. I just thought it would be a nice option. I'll do several photos of my Z with and without a model. |

I apologize if my comment came out wrong regarding the models. I have nothing against the models. :p As for my video idea. Basically it will go like this: Scene 1: Near dusk, a car (headlights on) drives down a long straight stretch of empty road towards the camera. The car then turns right, into an empty sand lot. The camera pans, following the car. Scene 2: The car parks near the lot entrance. In the background, you see a 370Z parked (rear facing the camera). The driver of the first car, steps out and walks towards the 370Z. The camera is capturing the driver from the waist down, not showing the face of the driver. The camera follows the driver as he walks up to the 370Z. The driver stops in front of the 370Z's driver side door. The camera is focusing on the window of the Z. The window opens and a person (me probably :icon17: ) in the Z looks out at the person standing outside. *I'm not sure if I should add a short dialogue like: Car driver: "Sorry I'm late." Z driver: "You ready?" Car driver: "Yeah." Z driver: "Let's go." Scene 3: Both cars leave the empty lot as music starts playing. Scene 4: The music kicks in and you see 2 lines of cars driving towards the camera. Each car speeds past the camera, darting out to their side as they past the camera, one by one. Scene 5: Music gets pumping as the next shot shows the cars merging into the two lanes in front of the camera as they speed away from the camera. Scene 6: Various angles of all the cars driving throughout the varying locations, what ever I can get on footage. End scene: have not figured this shot yet. So what do you all think? Sound good? I have the music already, I don't have an HD video camera or the people who want to be in the video. :p |
Your comment was not offensive. :D It's cool.
I like your idea of the video. I think it should be based on a zombie escape theme. Maybe the dialog should reflect that. lol "Did you bring the guns?" "Yeah, I also got Molotov cocktails and chainsaws." "Okay, then. Let's go save the world." What song do you have in mind? |
Quote:
Zombie apocalyptic theme? Not in my Z. :rofl2: Here is one of the songs I had in mind. I bought the MP3 here: Amazon.com: Forbidden: D'espairsRay: MP3 Downloads |
Some of us are still meeting for the movie today! We're planning on being at the theater at least 30 minutes before the showing.
