Since it seems like I wont get to experience and OK summer with the 370, is the heat having any real neg effect on the cars? I have an oil cooler already, but was wondering what everyone else is doing to help keep engine/intake temps down. I have a feeling I will be doing most of my govt funded vacations (although this one is kind of a vacation) during the summer and I wont be back till the fall. I ordered new brakes, SSR Type F wheels and I am currently looking up different ways to keep the car cooler, mostly for in town driving since there seems to be more heat build up (testing with my 350 last summer) while going slow.

Nice choice in mods!:tup: I've been driving slow since I don't have a oil cooler yet the stillen g3's help some but I've really had to baby it due to the heat

Brakes are AP 6 pots i bought from Jr.1 here on the fourms. Cant wait to install them this fall and hit the track. How do you like the G3's? Im thinking of picking them up this winter.

I love my g3's they sound cool an they added some hp I would recommend them :tiphat:

I really want the F.I exhaust, but I am going to do the G3's first since they are cheaper. Once I get back I hope to join the Z club. My wheels shipped today from Vivid and my roommate will have the fun task of picking them up. Its the least he can do since I spent an entire day taking pics of a 2.L 914 that he bought! The parts are starting to build up in the garage and its going to be fun putting everything on.

Broke down and just placed an order for the F.I TDX with 12" resonators. It should be arriving sometime late Nov. I should be at the Oct Coffee and Cars, if I am lucky I will at least have my new wheels and tires on.

I absolutely have no patience when it comes to car parts I get to excited an end up paying for the faster shipping

Most of the wait will be while I am gone so its not too bad, plus it gives me time to get everything installed. It is getting exciting knowing I am getting closer and closer to getting back and getting everything installed.

The hood is the oem style. Just like stock hood but full carbon fiber. It fits great no issues on fitment and condition. I belive you saw it some time ago when we went to the import face off in noble. But ill send u some pics. I took it off yesterday evening.

Yeah, I've been driving the Z more often lately and I live right there.

It's a ton of fun. If you go, make sure your brakes have fresh fluid and I would recommend racing fluid :) I use ATE Super Blue

Attention OKZCC Track participants. Due to the rain and change in forecast, track day is CANCELLED. I'll let you know if there is another date that opens up, but this was supposed to be the last of the season.

I wish we could organize a big Z meet :rolleyes:

We should set something up next year, get all the midwest peole (IL, WI, IN ) together!

Midwest Z Fest was hosted last year by OKC Z Car club. Track day turnout was dismal (9 cars) and from what I understand we went in the hole on that one. I think there were about 28 cars last year at the car show. It ran from Thursday through Sunday. Since I've joined again the Facebook group (OKZCC) has done well for communication so I suggest you join to stay up to date. There were several Z cars at Cars and Coffee last weekend.

BTW, the Sheriff's track day has been rescheduled for the Sunday on Thanksgiving Weekend.
