FYI - The following was posted on teh 350 forum this morning.
"I was just told here that there's a massive North Central Caravan. Perhaps we can link up our Toronto Caravan with yours? We'll be over-nighting (Wednesday night) an hour north of Lexington. We're planning on leaving the hotel at ~ 8:00am (give or take depending on other's meeting up with us). I see Sunset123 (Chris) in your group as well. I think we may be able to manage to get to your Lexington meet up point by ~ 10:00am - ish. Although we probably wouldn't look to be waiting around much and like to make the most of the early day driving. Of course we can play that by ear, but it would make for one humongus caravan if our two groups did link up. What do you think? Here's where we're over-nighting on Wed night - holiday...=0CE4Q_wY - Google Maps" I'm trying to find out if they'll hold tight for about an hour for us. Also trying to find out how many are in their group. |
damn, this thing is going to be crazy!!!!
|
More info from the Toronto group...
~ 4 to 5 Z32's and 3 or 4 Z33's, a GTR and a Skyline. |
hopefully they will wait around.

Pulp, is there bbq pits at each cabin? And how far out do we stop for beer and food. Do we need to bring a cooler? Thx....zdayz professional |
Good to see Larue playing. He's a tough player.

I know some of the cabins have fire pits. Not sure if all do. May want to contact FVR and confirm our cabin does. I'm bringing a small cooler for in the car, and at my lodge room. We are taking a different route than the last itm eI went so I'm nto sure what we will come across on the way. Worst case, after we get to FVR, we can run into Robinsville (20 miles away) and stock up on groceries thursday evening. Are you planning on doing it up with some St Louis Style Ribs??? |
Ribs are my specialty, as well as King Crab legs!
|
Did you guys reigster, and plan to attend the friday and saturday night dinners?
|
Yes.
Figure all we need is booze, breakfast, and lunch for friday and saturday. Maybe Dinner for Thursday |
I'm bringing a cooler full of beers I like to drink. I'm also bringing food to cook. Other than that, I'm going to pack tees, shorts, and lots of KY.... oh, wait.
|
Our cabin is right by the large fire pit. w0ady works at the AB brewery in Jacksonville and usually brings about 18 cases of beer. He has the cabin next to us.
In the early years, Fontana was dry, but they sell beer now, so you can get it on site if you don't have room. |

Used to like AB, until they stopped sponsoring the local charities. Guess I need to pack a cooler. Now where to put it.
|
My cooler is my passenger. There's no other way for me to fit mine.
|
In the 350Z, a cooler fit perfectly between the strut bar and back seats. And six pack of bottles for the road fit perfectly in the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. :werd: Looks like now in the 370 I'll have to move the cooler to the front seat.
|
AB? Anheuser Busch?
|
Depends on what kind of cooler you're using. Never thought about the beer in the glove box.
AB=Arrogant Bastard (I hope) |
