if you guys are unfamiliar with a Poker Run, it is nothing fancier than a routed cruise. There will be 4 check points in the cruise and at each check point, drivers/players are dealt 1 card, the end checkpoint is where you will get your last card. Drivers/players with the best hand will win prizes! If you do not know how to play poker, someone will assist you in making the best hand!

Lunch will be provided by us at the end of the cruise!

Here's an overview of the complete cruise. I've grown up and lived in Howard County for 20+ years, some of these roads are definitely on the top roads to drive on in this area!

Is it like a group driving thing or is everyone on their own to get to the check points? Just want to know if I can follow the cars in front of me or will I have to memorize the directions.

At each checkpoint you'll be given the turn by turn to the next checkpoint. Usually in Poker Runs, if all goes well you should be grouped. Typically everyone hangs out at the checkpoints then continues on once everyone catches up, it's not really a race so you don't have to grab your card then race to the next checkpoint haha :)

Ah yes, good ole route 32 and 29. Definitely don't get to drive those roads often enough :p

Looks like fun, not sure if the timing is going to pan out for me yet.

Not to be a buzz kill or anything but since this is where I grew up, people, please, drive carefully on Folly Quarter and Shepperd's Lane. I knew more than one person that has lost their life on these roads.

Folly Quarter is deceiving, its very straight but has lots of little hills and is lined with telephone polls on both sides.

Shepperd's lane has gotten better over the years but there are still some tight squeezes in there and all it takes is one idiot to drift a little into your lane and you're in a tree.

I like how you managed to squeeze new cut road and some old EC roads in there. Ever take a trip down River Road just past old EC into Baltimore county? thats a fun and very dangerous road. I like to hit that and then grab Bonnie Branch back down to 103. There's a really cool old abandon warehouse off of River Rd I want to hit up sometime and take some car pics there early in the morning.
