Hi Everybody!
:happydance:Just picked up my NISMO Thursday the 6th from Ohio and drove it to Chesapeake. I hit a deer carcass on the way home just north of Williamsburg on 64. I just got done checking out the undercarriage and bumper...yep there's damage, so I'm making a claim with my insurance company to replace the front bumper, replace the busted rivets in the wheel well, replace the instillation in the undercarriage, paint, etc...

Don't know if anyone else is on here from my area, but if so:

I was planning to take it to Hall Nissan Virginia Beach on Monday due to the reviews I saw online. Is there a better place or another dealership I should take it?

Z-Girl 12 06-08-2013 03:44 PM

crap that sucks...sorry to hear.

eastwest2300 06-08-2013 04:22 PM

Damn that sucks, I hope you get it all taken care of.

Stock or Modified. I'll pm you more info.

Darketch 06-09-2013 01:04 AM

Completely Stock besides a DVD player and speakers. Not looking to do much but the forums make me want to do more! I was considering an exhaust within a year, but want to see y'all cars to see if I like it over the Nismo exhaust.

Hall Nissan VA Beach isn't a "bad" place, typical dealer, but when they screw up it is usually bad.
When they replaced my front bumped the paint job was very good.
However the reason they were replacing the front bumped was due to this:

They claimed that Nissan USA told them to do that when installing front license plate holders.

The dealer I would take it to in the Hampton Roads area is Pomoco Nissan.

Will pm you some info that might be helpful.

Its been less than 24 hours and I already have a couple of options for repairs and service in my area. Thanks everybody for the support!

m4a1mustang 06-09-2013 06:55 AM

Congrats on the NISMO. Sorry to hear about the damage :(

aniceh 06-10-2013 10:50 AM

Oh, no! I hope you get the damage fixed to your satisfaction quickly!

BTW, excellent choice on the color. :) Congrats, and enjoy!

You should have seen my face when I saw that picture. I can't believe anyone would do that. I zip tied my front plate to the grill when I first picked up my Z.

You will like aftermarket over the Nismo, almost guaranteed. ESPECIALLY if you hear mine or Dee's exhausts!

This is true..

Welcome!

Don't go to Hall Nissan, they suck. I bought my car from them and have had it there for a few things and they have been pretty rude and ripped me off a few times.

I prefer Nissan of Chesapeake, but even they aren't great. In all honesty I can't stand any dealer though.

I live in Chesapeake also by the way.

Ryguy 06-10-2013 08:38 PM

I bought mine at the pomoco Nissan in Hampton and they were pretty good, however I never go there for service because I hate the drive to Hampton because of the HRBT. Been to hall Nissan to get my CSC changed and I didn't have a bad experience, it was covered under warrentee but they won't stop harassing me with emails after unsubscribing several times.

Tell me about it!http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...shakingmad.gif
I wasn't the only one.
My new bumper was approved in only a few weeks but that was due to PapoZalsa fighting with Nissan USA for months to get his fixed.

I know right! http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...es/grumble.gif

Since I bought my Z through Hall I got free state inspections for life and one time I went to the Chesapeake Hall Nissan for my inspection.
Now I get stuff from Hall Va Beach, Hall Chesapeake, Nissan One-to-One, and the sales guy at VA Beach Hall that sold me my Z. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...ages/rant2.gif

Nissan One-to-One called me once to remind me that my Z was way over due for regular maintenance.
The girl on the phone couldn't understand that I was taking my Z to a non-dealership mechanic for all its maintenance.
At least they stop sending/calling me maintenance reminders.http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/jive.gif

Since I have a low mileage Z, every time my mileage gets updated in Nissan maintenance system I get tons of trade in offers from all the local dealers and dealers I haven't even heard of.
Some dealers have even sent me offers to buy my Z.
I was very bad this past March when I got my steering lock replaced (went to a dealer because it was a recall item).
At the time my 09 fully loaded 6MT touring (sports package, nav, illuminated kick plates, premium mates, etc.) had around 15.5K.http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...illy_nilly.gif

BTW the mechanic that has done all the work on my Z, regular maintenance and mods actually specializes in Zs.
Will pm details if anyone interested.

eastwest2300 06-11-2013 09:55 AM

Thats crazy dude.. wow.

eastwest2300 06-11-2013 09:57 AM

vabam I wish your mechanic was up around these parts, I'd use him as well.

PapoZalsa 07-06-2013 07:16 PM

Hope is not late, but my body shop of choice is Suttle Body Shop in Newport News. They repaired my Z worth $9k in damages and you cannot tell unless I point it out. Plus all the work is lifetime warranty.
