Yes it is! :shakes head:

Stillen front brake cooling system.

Z-1 Motorsports sells a Stillen front brake cooling kit that has made a HUGE difference with my Z on the track! It is designed to fit in the "fang" area of the stock front fascia. It has also helped a lot on roads like the Dragon! It is also a lot cheaper that the one on this thread.

He has a Nismo, so Stillen is no go for him

The Bad News: The website in the OP is non-functional. Multiple emails and no reply. Looks like someone had a halfassed idea for a business and then just quit working on the website and gave up.

The Good News: Bkleeman is working on getting me a pair which is cool on multiple levels but mostly because he's a goddamned racecar driver. His parts guy is at the Grand Am Barber (?) event right now but when he gets back, we're going to get me a pair of the RC ducts.

When do you plan on hitting the track?

dmhenderson 04-05-2013 01:23 PM

Once I upgrade the brake lines and pads and add the ducts I'm going to give it a whirl. Pretty nervous about it tbh.

Need to find some nice "middle of the road" brake pads that aren't pure track (squeal until they get hot) that don't cost an arm and a leg.

My track pad setup.

I like the Hawk setup using DTC 60 on the front and DTC 30 on the rear. Not too noisy, plenty of bite and they respond well to hard driving.

The good thing about track events is that you don't have to be the fastest car out there, everybody is learning!

Good luck.

I was expecting more CF nonsense. Those look just about right - bookmarked them for later.

takjak2 04-05-2013 02:17 PM

dm, lemme know when you're ready for the track. Would love to see you at an event. Next up I'll be with Track Club USA (SVT Mustang Club) for 3 days on VIR at the end of May.

Z Stig 04-05-2013 02:17 PM

I have tried Project Mu pads on my Z and had them cause enough build up on my rotors that I thought I had warped the rotor. I don't remember if they were the same compound as these. Just my $.02.
