KellyEfields hood damper kit take 2

So I talked him into building me a kit and he asked if I knew anyone else who was interested.

Original thread here:

Apparently, these kits don't bow your hood like the Z1/EVO-R kits do. I think Chris (?) has this kit on his car. Saw it at the fairfax meet a couple weeks ago and decided I really wanted one. Anyway, shoot him a PM or post here or something if you want him to build you one.

How much are we talking?

dmhenderson 01-22-2013 08:41 PM

No idea yet. I think it depends on how many people are interested.

eastwest2300 01-22-2013 08:57 PM

Cool, well im interested, depending on price.

dmhenderson 01-22-2013 09:11 PM

I have his original kit. It kicks arse... I would not hesitate to get this kit again.

Top shelf mod...

I met Kelly at Z Nationals. Heck of a guy, and this is a great mod. I'm gonna have to consider this for a minute.

Some more interest in the interior/exterior thread as well. At least 3 of us in so far.

I'm in. I've been in the market for a hood damper kit. Glad I waited :)

:iagree: Loved mine. Even did the DIY for him. :icon17:

The only (questionable) downside to the kit is if you need to remove your plastic cover panels, you will have to remove the lower bolt. Requiring removal of the wheel well trim to access the nut.

Other then that, zero complaints.

OK so I was able to find a supplier for the parts. My original supplier wanted to much so had to find someone else but I was able to get a better part for around the same price which is good. here are the details It will be about 10 days for me to get these out. I will update the timeline as I get the parts in. it will be first come first serve since I will have limited quanities.

ORDERING INFO
total cost Shipped to:
US Priority USPS 3 days = $90
Canada USPS = $100
Australia USPS = $110

Just to give you a breakdown the parts are 75 for the set. 5 is due to AK for the forum and I estimate 10 for shipping to the us, 20 to canada, and 30 to australia. If you have a group from your area PM me and you can save on the shipping.

I accept paypal to Kellyefields@yahoo.com and please remember to add the 3% paypal fees because these are made at cost of the materials alone so my labor is free and so as you can see if you forget to pay the fees it cost me more than just my time. add your shipping address as well. Dont forget to put your username on paypal so I know who you are.
