Hey since most of us know each other...

Instead of being passive aggressive douches, could we agree to PM each other if we take issue with each others' posts?

Pretty sure I know who the culprit is but damn, act like an adult please?

I would have closed the thread myself if you had asked me to.

Rui Z 12-20-2012 07:08 PM

No, I refuse to act like an adult

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 07:21 PM

(waiting patiently until someone reports this thread too)
Edit: man I'm sleepy.

PapoZalsa 12-20-2012 07:38 PM

Post count....

blackcherry20 12-20-2012 07:40 PM

Hi dm! Wot up?!

MyKindaGuise 12-20-2012 08:13 PM

Yeah for real who reported the other thread. its not like your said you guys raced from red light to red light and were measuring dicks and stuff. personally I think the street race story rules here are a little tight but whatevs.

MyKindaGuise 12-20-2012 08:13 PM

No one buys a sports car and doesn't race atleast once or doesn't drive over the speed limit...

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 08:20 PM

Absolutely not disputing the moderation decision. By the letter of the law, that thread violates the rule and I'm fine with that...

What I'm asking is that the dude who reported it act like an adult and just talk to me personally. Like I said, I would have been happy to close (or even delete the thread) but I dislike the snarky passive aggressive nonsense.

eastwest2300 12-20-2012 08:21 PM

The forum's rules state it.. Its a violation, I would bet had this conversation been within a thread that has hundreds of posts, it wouldnt have been deleted, but being that new threads are being created daily by some people, it probably threw up a red flag. Just my 2 cents.

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 08:23 PM

I mean it's not like there are that many of us in the MA region. It's not like I posted what I did in the general forum or anything.

I mean in all honestly, I thought I was pretty clear that it was a "spur of the moment" thing and I certainly wasn't advocating illegal behavior (just the opposite actually)

Red__Zed 12-20-2012 08:24 PM

It didn't throw a red flag. "Someone" reported it as offensive and in the future you should probably just PM me if you have a serious problem with something I posted.

I'll say it again - I would have taken it down or closed the thread without any complaint if "someone" had just talked to me.

eastwest2300 12-20-2012 08:26 PM

Instead of implying that "someone" reported your thread, do us all a favor and ask if your thread was reported, I bet you'd be surprised to find out the answer.

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 08:27 PM

Anyway, that answers my question. I'll go ahead and close this thread o_O
Wacky rules lawyering from people you know is just....odd.

The more you know I guess. Seriously, just weird.

The PM sent to me by a moderator specifically said that the thread was reported. No one is surprised. I'm going to close this.

~woot I just reported my own thread to get it closed~

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 08:30 PM

lol aaand I can't close my own thread.

Besides if the mod in question had an issue with it personally, they would have said "hey Mark, knock it off ok?" and I would have replied "sure no problem"

eastwest2300 12-20-2012 08:31 PM

wow, Im shocked... well you obviously have someone on here that doesnt care too much for you. I mean, I could tell you, it wasnt me, I dont expect you to believe me nor do I care but.. you might of rubbed someone the wrong way.

lmao.

dastaco 12-20-2012 08:35 PM

The key is to state it in a way that isn't racing.. For instance:

A ricer came up next to me and downshifted. I of course DID NOT downshift to 3rd and DID NOT blow right by him. The Ricer DID NOT look like an idiot since we DID NOT race.

Easy as 1 2 3 :icon17:

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 08:44 PM

No that's silly.

dmhenderson 12-20-2012 08:52 PM

Hey dmhenderson,
Sorry the thread was closed. I have put strict non street racing policy on this forum because my life was changed or I should say "affected" very deeply by an accident that was caused by two cars street racing. The life that was lost, was never given back. The loss for the family was beyond explainable. It was devastating and the reason: two street racer having fun! I sat down and told myself, I WILL NOT encourage this content that ruined this family's life and future - in my forum. That's why I put such strict rule. And I agree with you 100%. We do drive a fast sports, we both know we all gave that revving Lancer evo or that WRX STI h*ll on the parkway but that's fine. You can do that, I can do that every now and then. I just made sure it wasn't discussed or encouraged here in the forum. I hope you're not mad at me or the rule I have set forth.

As for the reported post, moderator did not lie EastWest. Here's the screenshot of the reported post. Sorry my desktop took crap and I don't have access to Photoshop at the moment. I used MS paint :icon14:
