Maryland...Again

I posted this in the Northeast section at first, but I guess it falls under mid-atlantic :)

Well, anyways, I was just trying to get people's opinions on the "car" scene out in Maryland. Do they see a lot event's out there, any good shops to bring my cars too, anyone into drifting? I might be picking up an assignment out there around the Maryland City area, so just kind of what to get an idea about what to expect.

Maryland is a State, not a City.. Other than that, its pretty cool.

Maryland City is apparently a city in MD, which I didn't know before I looked it up in Google Maps.

There is a pretty big car scene down with a bunch of big events every year in the DC metro area (MD/DC/Northern VA) and a lot of weekly meets as well. There are some good shops around here, especially AAM which are headquartered in Annapolis which is probably like 20-30 mins from where you'd be. I don't know if anyone specifically is interested in drifting here, but we're less than 2 hrs away from Summit Point Raceway and they do hold a number of drifting events there.

Good luck and hope to see you when you get here

If you wanted to you could probably find some car meet happening within a 45 minute drive everyday of the week around here.

I want to make this clear. I often have to. AAM is in Annapolis Junction, which is closer to Columbia/Ft Meade than Annapolis.

Sorry, pet peeve of mine.

There are also any number of specialized car clubs in the DC/MD/NoVA area. Most of the meets seem to center around Fairfax though for some reason which is a little annoying.

b1adesofcha0s 12-14-2012 09:25 AM

That's where a lot of the money is. A lot of exotic car meets in that area.

Yep. All the money is here in NOVA. Great Falls and Fairfax have all the weekly exotic meets.
