this stuff seems pretty legit from what i've read. amazon would take 2 weeks to get it i may call autozone on my way home.

KaienZ34 05-13-2013 02:08 PM

Autozone should have it.

yea them and amazon are the 2 places you can get it. in stock is a different question lol i just remembered there is one like a 1/2 mile from my work on my way home. i just wish i could find some more reviews. only one i found was on a BMW forum. only negative in the guys write up was dry/set time is like 2-4 hours. so he did it late and let it sit overnight.

if anyone can find me some other positive reviews then i'll probably go on and be the test dummy for the Z community lol

Worst case just do your fangs black plasti and see how it holds up for the ride.

haha not my style. i just really dont see myself having the time to tape up the front end. the 3M paint defender spray could be a solution.

Just testing if the plasti would hold up to rock chips and not transfer them to the paint, i'll help you peel it off at Zdayz.

i'd be more worried about plastidip than this clear stuff for the paint. even though i have done my friends whole hood on his audi for fun and it came off without problem.

maybe if i get packed tonight i'll tape up a bit of my car. who knows.

my fangs are plastidipped - and they have held up much better that the surrounding areas - if a big enough chip happens i just spot fill it with a new little squirt :)

Cool deal, now we just need someone to dip the whole bumper and hood instead of using tape.

I'm only doing front bumper and lights. I have 3 layers of wax on the car with sealant.

All Chemical guys! Jetzeal 109 rocks!

Mike, my buddy in the middle of the pic used clear plastidip on his headlights and it worked out great.

KaienZ34 05-13-2013 09:10 PM

Clear plasti, someone do the whole car.

FPenvy 05-13-2013 11:15 PM

I went and checked out that 3m stuff and from what it says to do the hood, bumper, and fenders you'd need at least 2 cans so now that's $50 just in spray, $12 in the tape and cover kit, and $7 for the sprayer attachment.

Seems kinda expensive....
