yes, that is correct, so what I have, I one can of red, blue, i full black that was shooting out goobs of paint, and 1 can of black with about 15% of paint in it.

eastwest2300 09-20-2012 06:11 PM

I also just cleaned off the nozzles, so 3 of the 4 cans should shoot pain fine.. hopefully.. you never know.

dmhenderson 09-20-2012 06:13 PM

I just need enough to touch up nicks and the boomerangs - nothing else.

eastwest2300 09-20-2012 06:19 PM

You should be fine.. with what I have.

eastwest2300 09-20-2012 06:20 PM

Oh, i just wanted to tell you fellas, I cleaned my engine bay, sprayed it down with the hose really good, and Im glad to say, I have NO condensation... thank goodness.

dmhenderson 09-20-2012 06:22 PM

Yeah my last light was rushed because we were out of daylight and the PA guys had to go.

You know what I would do, I would lay the rubber butyl, then hit it with a heat gun once you're finished up, and prior to you putting them back on the car.

eastwest2300 09-20-2012 06:27 PM

Make sure you bring that heat gun by the way.

eastwest2300 09-20-2012 06:29 PM

Please fellas, for the love of the good lord, bring lots & lots of plastic gloves...

Already handled.

eastwest2300 09-20-2012 06:51 PM

I'll be the sole purpose for going through as many pairs of gloves as I did, it was me going from one color paint to another... BUT the good thing is, I didnt fvck anything up. And for that, I'd rather run through a bunch of gloves, if it gets the job done right.

Yeah, thats what I would do, it just makes sense doing it that way.

Went to Wal-Mart today and picked up some stuff. It's gonna be 4 of us there including my cousin. He's taking his headlights out of his 350 ahead of time which will make things a lot easier for us.

Got a 40 pack of nitrile gloves and 2 cans of satin black paint for my cousin and I. As far as the gun metal paint goes, the smart thing to do would be to test spray it on a spare bit of plastic to see how the color and texture are. This would be better than painting and then potentially repainting the shrouds. If I don't like it I can return it and just do the shrouds black.

dmhenderson 09-20-2012 08:15 PM

Cool - I won't need extra paint then. You only need about 3/4 of a can to do a pair of headlights. Between what we have and your cousin's paint we should have plenty.
