Ptuning is giving away 15% off service coupons to the 100 entrants and also giving away a chance to win one of 3 free dyno pulls (no idea if that includes uprev license).

Might end up using them after.

Also word of caution - lots of "RICEBOI DORIFTU" guys on the event's facebook page so be prepared for lots of 4chan image macros and thinly veiled saracasm if you choose to post there.

This - I will attend.

Hey guys. Sorry I've been absent. Still in the busy season for me. I am hoping to make it, as it is on a Sunday, and I should be semi-free. You guys meeting up early or just going over there?

I'm sure we can work something out. Maybe the usual FFX location?

That's fine by me. Just let us know what time is good for everyone.

So I went today to check out the crowd despite the fact that it looked like rain. The show has been rescheduled for the 14th. Just a couple observations:

-If you are over 30, you will feel very old. It's a VERY young crowd. There was even a kid there showing his 350z accompanied by his dad. Not making fun, just ...wow though.

-There were some crazy cars there. Gallardo, Vanquish, Skyline with a right steering column, enormous crazy monster trucks, kit cars, hotrods, you name it.

-Sponsors seemed pretty absorbed with their own club but to be fair, the show itself was cancelled so this was just a "club meet" with fringe benefits.

-No idea why they don't have cuter waitresses with Mason (or is it GWU?) right next door.

-Wings were ******* terrible. Like KFC fried super hard with sauce dumped all over them.

Forgot about this. Since you are doing my exhaust install and tune in November, I'd like the chance to speak with you. Will definitely show back up on the 14th.

Sounds like exactly what I expected. Mostly the same crews from the Mid-Atlantic Mega Meets.

Oh hey they got a picture of my ride at some point. I think I was inside struggling with my horrible hangover:

:facepalm::shakes head:

I started talking to the dad about the 350 assuming it was his and he goes "uh no, it's his car" and points to this like...I'm gonna guess 16-17 year old kid and then grumbles something about sinking so many hundred dollar bills into the car.

I hate northern VA so much.

XwChriswX 09-03-2012 01:15 AM

Why did the OP back out?

dmhenderson 09-03-2012 01:18 AM

Beats me. The sponsors backed out right before the show due to weather but the guys running the show didn't seem super...friendly. I know there was some bad blood on the event's facebook page (which they keep deleting) but I'm not sure what it was about.
