Nice shots!
Shahid I was bitching because I had never ridden shotgun in a stock 5.0 before. I thought it would be funny to troll Dan a bit and also me running my mouth would keep my nerves in check. I would say things like, "BE CAREFUL. AL'S CAR IS TECHNICALLY SUPERIOR PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MATCH ITS PACE" and I'd yell into the radio at Al "PLEASE TAKE CORNERS AT SPEEDS YOU KNOW A STOCK 5.0 CAN HANDLE" then I'd turn to Dan and say "Watch out, he's going to stop in the middle of the turn." :bowrofl: But really, I was not a happy passenger. Until the 11 mile turnaround point on The Dragon. We stopped to chat with people and saw two Audis drive by. Without hesitation all of us ran to our cars to go get those Audis. :bowrofl::bowrofl: |
I also told Dan he jerked way too much.
And that I thought his steering inputs were pretty smooth. :icon14: |

After the Dragon Run
This was taken at the first stop of the morning after our Dragon run. I didn't realize how nice it would turn out, but it sums up pretty well what draws us to this place outside of the fantastic driving and people.

I had a harley couple on a bike in front of me that after two motorcycles passed them, I gave them 5 pulloffs before I lost my cool. Shouldn't have done it, but I ran about 2 feet off their bumper in first gear at 6-8000 rpms. The wife was waving her hands and yelling at me, but all they had to do was pull over. I went by several photo stations before I realized I probably should cool off a little. |

I know that if there was ever a car that caught up with me on that road while I was on my bike, I'd be on the side of the road faster than you can blink. I have no interest in having a car behind me while on a bike, and I love to have them in front of me running interference:icon17: |

But there were quite a few bikes who did pull over for me. Decent folks. I met quite a few friendly bikers while I was down there who were out having fun, and had a good sense of humor. |
I tired running one off the road. He thought he was safe accelerating out of the turns...he was wrong. Guys didn't get off until they reached deals gap resort. Almost the entire run doing 30mph, and 60 on the straights. B.S.!
