took a test run today..

Antioch and Halfway road were both Great! - Halfway got a new surface since November when I ran it last...

also ordered new tires - so should be ready to tear it up

Definitely in - day before MY B'day -- will ponder if I'm going to have to drop off my IRS check on the way to this cruiZe or wait until Sunday -- of course I guess we actually have until the 16th this year.

ANYWAY, looking forward to the cruiZe! :driving:

What tires did you go with, Randy?

Oh man, that run was so fun... i caught myself with a big smile the whole way. about a mile into Halfway Road, i caught up to a little Turbo Porche... i thought oh man, this is gonna ruin the trip behind some slow guy...

he punched it up, and we had a great run all the way up to Middleburg.

Wrong discussion group, but did you get them from TR or elsewhere?....I'm having an internal debate right now between the R11's (gotta go with 285s on the rear) or the Michelin SS's...... thoughts?

Steve... a small comparison between the two:

Dry Grip - RE11 should have more ultimate grip in dry, but the PSS comes close. The RE11 is like a track compound optimized for street use. The PSS is like a street tire that reaches up towards track status in terms of grip.
Wet Grip - The PSS is the clear winner
Treadlife - PSS should last quite a bit longer than the RE11

If you think you'll really track your car (and track it quickly) I'd go with the RE11. For mostly street use I'd go with the PSS.

Thanks Steve -- good feedback. Gonna have to decide soon, left rear was down to 0 PSI this morning -- aired it back up and watching to see if it's a slow leak or what........will probably pull the trigger after the race today.....

I went in to Curry's Auto Service - Dulles (nice guys) and basically said:
"I want to get a set of PSS - If you can match Tire Rack, I'd love to support local business..."

they did :)
