Honestly, there are some days when I miss having a moonroof - when I had my Civic Si I always and I mean ALWAYS had that thing open.

Having the luxury of a convertible like the S2K especially now that Spring is around the corner is gonna be awesome.

I just want a Targa top :-)

Haha im still waiting on a beater!

Also Im thinking my exhaust rattle is more serious that I thought before...I will know Saturday. But it sounds like something is trapped up in the top left canister in my Ark.

Also I may be trading in my H1C turbo for a larger and newer HX40http://www.stcf.net/viggen/Holset/images/022.jpg

Yeah its gonna make a little power.lol

I know someone running that exact turbo on a 2.3l motor and he makes max boost at 3.5k rpms...so our big flow VQ37s should spool this thing up so nicely. Everyone coming to Carlisle def gets to come on a ride along haha.

MyKindaGuise 02-17-2013 08:18 PM

Ah, well then, having nothing would be hard to upgrade :-p.

25-row is good enough for a long time, should you ever decide to track the car.

Indeed that would be the goal. how do you like your SS brake lines? Im looking at the Z1 kit as well as stop tech...any specific reason you went with the goodridge?

SS brake lines will almost give you nothing at all.

I felt almost no change at all, other than peace of mind at the track is all.

I went with the Goodridge lines because I didn't have to pay a cent for them :). I won them in a competition Stillen ran while I was in Iraq, 2 years ago almost. I'd never complain about free SS lines, but I certainly won't tell you that they made a dramatic difference - they didn't. Don't be fooled in thinking that they will, either.

b1adesofcha0s 02-17-2013 09:06 PM

That reminds me, we still need to bleed my brakes again once the weather gets warm......that and re-doing my headlights :p

Very cool that's the honest answer I was looking for. Im more or less doing it for longevity and reliability. Im going to be doing an SS line conversion(clutch, oil, brake) so I was just looking to see if it was worth the extra $100 on the goodridges over the premium Z1 kit.

Nope, you'd be fine w/ the Z1 kit more than likely, if you're adamant on doing it.

Main reason people push them is because of older, worn out rubber lines on older cars. They can be stretched out over time, eventually getting to the point where your brake-feel isn't nearly as solid anymore. Especially when racing at the track, SS lines are great peace of mind in that you know they wont burst at the end of a 130-140 MPH straight, and put you right into the wall when you hit your brakes.

I went with the Z1 kit, and have been very pleased with them. Good deal for what you get in the kit.

I was thinking about getting SS lines, but decided not to after Rob said they weren't necessary.

eastwest2300 02-18-2013 03:50 PM

Sooo fellas, I just got done ripping my entire trunk including my tail lights, and I just finished up GTmat'n the entire back. I'll post pics.

eastwest2300 02-18-2013 03:53 PM

Hey Blades, Im having a shop do mine (tail lights), the painter is a friend of mine, he's done a ton of work for me, on the eclipse, and the motorcycle that I had. He is the man.

dmhenderson 02-18-2013 04:03 PM

Yeah today would have been a good day for that but the car is at D&V

eastwest2300 02-18-2013 04:05 PM

Today was the perfect day to GTmat the car, and I got the entire back done...with no waste.
