I understand the benefits of the tune. My only problem was that you can get a relatively similar quality tune for a lot less at places other than Hills Garage.

But where are those places? I'll drive a distance for a good deal.

b1adesofcha0s 01-14-2012 11:06 PM

There was R/T Tuning in PA who were asking $500. There's JE Import in MD, but i don't know how much they charge.

eastwest2300 01-15-2012 01:36 AM

well the good thing is, theres no rush, those places arent going anywhere, and i still have lots of parts to buy!

:iagree:

It's best to get all your bolt on power mods installed before getting a tune so you can be done with it and call it a day. You don't want to drop the money on a tune for CBE+HFC only to need to redo it a couple months later if you decide to get intakes.

Hey Doug,

I was under the impression that Uprev was the way to go with a Z.
How do these others compare, and how many Zs have you tuned?

We haven't done Uprev tune on any Infiniti G35/G37 nor Nissan 350Z/370Z yet. We looking for someone to tune it especially 350Z/370Z.
Let me know if you like to have your vehicle tune :)

That sounds good!

I understand that the lowest a vendor/shop can legally sell the Osiris UpRev software is $500 so that isn't a problem but it would be awesome if the price could be reduced if there was a group buy for it!

Hey guy,

As for now, there be no discount for UpRev Standard Package which priced at $500. The reason is that we haven't tune a 370Z and we do not have Uprev tune maps. A tuner here mentioned we trying to find anyone with modded 370Z and purchase UpRev Tuner package, so it not necessary in this route because it is $200 dollars more than Standard Package.

During my discussion with my manager about UpRev option packages,
my manager said if we have up to 5 people sign up then have a deposit paid fully for group buy for $500 dollars, then we be able to get standard package but I can see it not cheaper than MSRP pricing because as for tuning cost at PTUNING we are deciding to make a final price of discounted tuning for everyone that participated in group buy only.

My tuner said, if we have 5 people sign up for Standard Package, he be able to crack the Standard Package to tune it on his laptop. We hoping to have someone sign up for this group buy and have my tuner to fully understand to configure the UpRev Standard software to tune your ECU.

For all participating people in group buy, you don't have pay for discounted tuning right away along with UpRev Standard package.
I should have the update of discounted tuning price by this week or next week as soon my manager discuss with our tuner to decide how what route and pricing of tuning.

Happy Wednesday!

Doug

eastwest2300 01-26-2012 02:17 AM

Good stuff..

tonybui 01-26-2012 01:39 PM

Wait, what's the difference between standard package and tuner package?

Masa 01-26-2012 02:17 PM

Taken from their website:

Osiris Standard - Our PC based reflash system allowing the user to flash their ECU with customized tuning provided by UpRev or an UpRev Pro Tuner. Osiris Standard includes Cipher and comes with three eTune updates providing custom tuning for your vehicle.

Osiris Tuner - For the do it yourself types who are familiar and capable of tuning their own vehicles or the enthusiast looking for a better alternative to Stand-Alone ECU and Piggyback systems.

I'm not going to say stay away, but please make sure that you consider your options.
PTuning has installed all the bolt ons on my Z. They're expensive (I think), but they do good work.
When I wanted to get my Z dyno tuned, I did talk to them about it.
They didn't impress me. They haven't done any Z's; they don't do uprev.
(and note that I asked them that and look at their answer on the previous page).
I understand that you want to save money, but I'm not sure about this offset.

You're just being honest, nothing wrong with that.

DougChoe715 01-29-2012 10:39 PM

Okay everyone, after a longest busy day last week at work, I manage to find time to discuss with the managers and I discussed to see what everyone think of this, we going do $500 UpRev Standard Package which we will tune it and $50 PTUNING gift card for Tuning or Servicing at PTUNING. If you like this, let me know, because I told them about this Mid-Atlantic thread about UpRev tuning that you guy are from local and wanting to do this. I will make this happen and look forward to it. Please do share your opinion if you agree or disagree to this. I am open to any opinion, thanks guy.

Without giving a reason or explaining your experience with the vendor you are nothing more than a troll. We have far more experienced trolls here and you will be shamed.

How much did they charge for the software upgrade?

That a lot of hp for the tune, nice mods. As I wonder about Saikou Michi OCC-2 on your mod list, wondering what it do, trap dirts through oil?

eastwest2300 03-02-2012 12:31 PM

FragMag handles metal fragments in your oil through your oil filter.

Oh, it a product itself?

eastwest2300 03-02-2012 12:43 PM

Yeah, all it is just a really strong magnet that attaches to the oil filter, it works very very well.

eastwest2300 03-02-2012 12:48 PM
