Ha! Actually, my quickest times at MIR were with VDC left on. Allowed just the right amount of wheelspin off the line without bogging down (still... 2.20 60ft times aint nothing to be proud of )

Yeah, I'm sure that extra wind drag with the windows open killed your time into the 15's :stirthepot:

No that was a 13.5 run, but it may have been my best of the day if I had left the windows up.

Blades, I am not highjacking the thread, I promise; but has anyone adjusted their clutch to engage earlier?

I didn't like the way the clutch engages at the top of the stroke, so I adjusted it to engage about 1" from the bottom. This feels extremely natural and shifts are much smoother and quicker.

Since the clutch is engaging earlier and you are shortening the stroke distance, this may possibly knock off a tenth or so, just a thought.

Not my thread and I don't really care even if you do highjack it :p

Good luck to anyone who is running today!

So how did you guys do?

Kirkster 08-07-2011 05:41 PM

Well as I was not allowed to run faster than 13.49 being a convertible. I managed a 13.51...

I had all kinds of problems getting things hooked up...

Like I said before, I suck at DR launches.

You were not allowed to run faster than 13.49?
What does that mean and what can they do to prevent it?

I have no roll bar.

If you run less than the allowable limit they throw you out.

VaGntlmn 08-07-2011 09:39 PM

that's going to make it difficult to test out that new supercharger

Kirk,

What keeps you from winding it out on your last run of the night, just to see what kind of time you can get? I am guessing you are kicked out for the night, correct?

eastwest2300 08-08-2011 06:55 AM

Kirk, I'd love to see your car go, a supercharged Z is sexy... like carmen electra.:yum:
