Stolen rims

If anybody sees Piano Black F14 forgestar 19x9 19x11 cirulating around let me know please. My rims where stolen off my car. Also if anybody has a set of rims i can buy immediately for under 600dollars it would be greatly appreciated, as my car is sitting on its rotors and my insurance doesnt cover rental car costs. Thanks in advance

flashburn 05-10-2011 09:30 AM

F. Really sorry to hear that man. ******* bottom feeding scum.

ChrisSlicks 05-10-2011 09:47 AM

I'm hoping the insurance pays out more than $600! There is likely plenty of other damage underneath the car from them dropping it on the rotors. Hope they catch the bastards.

Yea the insurance is going to replace the Forgestars, but i know it will take 2months for the rims to come so i was just looking for some cheap rims to hold me over.

You and me both buddy. I hope they catch them and they rot in jail, but yeah they will have to replace the rotors and exhuast. Hopefully there is no frame damage.

jayl 05-10-2011 10:44 AM

It happened in Landover. I parked my car at the mall where there is supposed security 24/7. I come back out a hour later and the rims are gone

Thanks, I apreciate the offer, but I dont think they will fit with the Sport Brakes. if any body can confirm that it would be appreciated.

djpathfinder 05-10-2011 12:24 PM

I think you require a minimum 18" rim. Good luck with everything.

Is that the mall across the way from FedEx Field? If so, it doesn't surprise me that this happened. PG County sucks

Sorry for your loss man.:shakes head:

Waiz 05-10-2011 02:29 PM

There is nothing worse than when your car gets messed with.

Hopefully someone steps up to let you borrow some stockers until your new wheels come in.

sucasa 05-10-2011 02:36 PM

sucks to hear, also, check craiglist threads nationwide to see if they turn up on sale by the thieves.

You can do a global craigslist search and check by keyword, and see if the scumbags are trying to sell your stuff in some other city.

Kirkster 05-10-2011 03:01 PM

PG does suck (I worked there for 6 years in the school system).

Good luck getting the PG cops to worry about "petty" crime.

Ha! I still work in PG... on the UMD campus which is pretty safe during the day time, but yea good luck with the PG cops helping you out on this. A report will be filed then it will be lost into a black hole. Same thing happened to me a while back when my Civic Si was broken into and they stole my Alpine HU.

tjlazer 05-10-2011 04:26 PM

Man PG county. Thats a rough area. I was TDY at Andrews in the mid 90's and I was like damn... lol

eastwest2300 05-10-2011 08:34 PM

I use to live in PG county for like a month, from Montgomery County, my car insurance went up $600 per 6 months, and I was like WTF? and had to move back to Montgomery County.

Sorry for your loss, they'll get caught, its just a matter of time.

hazzazi 05-10-2011 08:45 PM

check craigslist...i'm sure it will pop up there sooner or later.

Dude, that's most cops these days. They won't do sheet. :shakes head:

b1adesofcha0s 05-10-2011 08:58 PM

That sucks man, sorry to hear about what happened. Don't have an extra set of wheels to help you out either. Hope that bastard gets caught. Do you have any pics of the rims so that we can be on the lookout?

I remember when UMD was sending out those e-mails about people stealing catalytic converters from cars on campus. Glad I didn't have a nice car at the time :ugh2:

Yea lol, that's why you see me parked tucked away in that little corner in KK out of sight. :happydance:
It's like clockwork though - start of every fall semester the scum of PG come to UMD campus and prey on the out of towner freshmen. So many crime alerts of people getting robbed on Rt.1 :shakes head:

eastwest2300 05-10-2011 09:09 PM

PG county is ridiculous.

Yeah it's pretty crazy. I have noticed that you seem to have claimed that spot for yourself :icon17:

I try to get on and off campus as quickly as I can.

MichaelS 05-10-2011 09:19 PM

security systems on cars need to get physical haha...someone tries to steal your rims and the car tazes them...now that would be nice.

good luck catching these theives...really hate hearing these stories because it makes me very nervous....

eastwest2300 05-10-2011 09:22 PM

Its just crazy how someone could steal rims and just leave a car on bricks or just rotors, to me, its a thought, I just have a hard time swallowing, especially if it was done during the day.

Yea man, when I was doing undergrad in College Park driving around my Civic my insurance dropped $70 a month when I moved further out by Annapolis in Anne Arundel county.

Yea, I am usually one of the first ones in at work and claim the best space there. A BMW M3 and Trailblazer SS park next to me 90% of the time too so I am in good company.

delusional 05-10-2011 09:25 PM

damn this happened at a mall? is that area really that bad? sorry for your loss man. :shakes head:

I remember seeing something about some crazy security system that had flamethrowers shooting at potential car jackers, but you have to be in the car to use it. It was in Brazil though, definitely not legal in the US :icon17:

I'm surprised no one saw this happening if it was in the daytime at a mall. Would seem to be pretty obvious.

I never knew PG county was that bad. I haven't had any issues in Lot 6 and have parked there for the last 3 years.

In all seriousness, PG isn't as bad as it USED to be I would say around 7-10 years ago. They are actually cleaning up the surrounding areas especially around campus and further down on Rt.1 closer to the D.C. border.

Campus itself is pretty safe the majority of the time but I still wouldn't advise walking alone around UMD at night.

I'm very rarely on campus at night. Maybe only a handful of times since I started going there.

I talked to security, they basically told me its not there fault and to file a police report. It happened Sunday night and yes there where cars around, the parking lot was full, so it makes me wonder how nobody saw it

was this the 1st time you were at this mall?

eastwest2300 05-11-2011 04:06 PM

Where ever this mall is, Im definitely not trying to shop there.. lol

ZCarMan 05-11-2011 04:57 PM

PG Country in some areas can be bad for sure. I recall that at the beginning of the year there were a dozen murders in PG Country in the first 12 days of 2011!
