April 1st is my one year mark, and that's no joke! To celebrate I purchased the 40th anniversary Z's BBK for my car! I literally put the order in this morning lol.

Congrats ! I quit once for 8 months, and then started back up. So I know how challenging it can be, at least for me.

yeah it would be nice to smoke one but I know if I even have one cigarette I'll be back to buying packs, I just love smoking that much. So yeah its not easy, I still get cravings but they're farther and fewer between as time goes on. But I'm sticking to my guns, I went through too much hell to try and have to quit again. That's something I'm not willing to go through ever again.

Kudo's to you for your perseverance. That's what did me in, I felt like I had it mastered and having one wouldn't hurt anything. Bad move, as I bought a pack later that day.

It's not just "love"

It's addiction.

Good job on your not giving in to the urges.....mad props to you.

Congrats and hang in there. I dipped for about 17 years and this January marked 3 or 4 years nic free. Can't remember. Two years ago I was having a bad day and said, "eff this" i need a chew. Bought a tin of Kodiak and several minutes later had to pull over and puke...dumped the tin and went on my way.

like others have said earlier, once your mind tells you you are done with something you win.

Not a lot of people as adults set goals for themselves and follow through - I am one of them sometimes. You should be proud of yourself.

Congrats again.

Did we just have an Oprah moment?

For me I was able to quit and 2 years later I had one when I was out drinking one time and did not have any more or buy any. It's all on the individual but as a rule I would say not too, the saying goes for smoking too; "once a ***, always a ***".
