Was nice meeting you guys today but i wish i could have stayed for the whole cruise.

shadoquad 03-12-2011 01:49 PM

I had a lot of fun today! It was nice meeting Keith, Brian, and Kevin, and it was nice to see everyone else again!

For those of you who couldn't make it, Kevin took photos. I can't wait to see them.

The ride up wasn't bad except for one hair-raising dead stop on the highway because of traffic ahead of us. Coming down York Rd was fun, although we ran into some slow pokes in some of the twisties. Paper Mill Rd would have been more fun if not for the Dominoes truck ahead of us lol. But I think it all paid off when we hit Loch Raven Dr and got to turn the Z's loose. All in all, I think it was a successful cruise. We had 7 370Z's, 1 350Z, and Keith's awesome G. And we may have to hit that Hooters again. :D

They exist, but no one's posted them yet. I've got a few here:

Nice Pics Blades! That is the most graphite 370Zs I've seen at one meet for our group.

brian0128 03-13-2011 09:42 AM

I had a great time yesterday and it was great meeting everyone. I wish I could have stayed for lunch at Hooters but it was worth it going to Cecil County and watching Shahid run 12.9 at the track!

I do have the video. It could be of better quality but it'll do. PM me your email address.

Great pix, brian!!!

Wish I could have made it out to say hello, but had to go into work for training BS.
You guys were in my backyard, I'll have to give you guys some roads to hit other than York rd. Like 851 into lineboro, then down falls road then make your way to Hooters.
Looks like everyone had fun, maybe next time.

600+whp 03-13-2011 08:00 PM

Hey guys, I got linked here from Keith (SuperchargedG) from over at the 350Z forum. If you plan another cruise/meet in Shrewsbury shoot me a PM beforehand and I can offer a hook-up at the northern meet up point. I own Big Apple Bagels in Shrewsbury, PA in the shopping mall just across the main road from Starbucks (Wal-Mart Plaza with huge parking lot).

We have all the same drinks and coffee as Starbucks, plus breakfast and lunch foods. I can even work up some special pricing for people attending the meet.

Also, I am a supporter of the platform. I have an '05 350Z that is all show and all go (when it doesn't blow motors) with a built motor, TT and many other mods. It should be back on the road in a month or so depending on the tuner.

I am also very familiar with some of the country back roads that are a complete blast to drive out in farm country. I am hoping to set up a LNR (late night run) in that area sometime after ZdayZ. Either way, its great to see other enthusiasts in the Mid-A :tiphat:

We would love to have both of you join us next time, and if we do a similar PA-MD run again, we'll stop at Big Apple Bagles instead of Sbux!!!

once kevin touches up his photos and sends them to me I'll post em up

So are we planning the next cruise for April 9th guys?

steveg78 03-21-2011 12:08 AM

You guys go to Cecil Co Dragway often? I've been there about 3 times in the last 5wks and haven't seen one 370 there. Usually a Friday nights after work or sat if I'm not doing anything else.

That was my first and only time at any drag strip. I probably won't be going back there since its like an hour away. If I feel like hitting the strip, I will probably go to Capitol Raceway since its only 15 mins away. Brian went there and said it was alright.

steveg78 03-21-2011 08:10 AM

I got ya. I moved into the area last summer and Cecil is about 20-25mins away from me. When I used to live in NJ I was 5 mins from Englishtown. I must say, Cecil is cool for the fact that you can literally stand right next to the cars at the starting line. Kinda feels like illegal street racing lol. I find myself taking a few steps back on cars with NOS or heavily modded...LOL

Yeah that was pretty cool, although I don't really have anything to compare it too. It's also pretty chilled out and not crowded so you can go as many times as you'd like. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't rent out helmets. Luckily I was able to find some people nice enough to let me borrow their helmets.

It was funny when I first pulled up asking about the helmets, the guy said they don't rent them and that I probably wouldn't need one any way. Then I ran a 12.986 and they said I would need to borrow one from someone if I wanted to go again :icon17:

steveg78 03-21-2011 08:59 AM

damn 12.986!!!! That's awesome for a first time. You know it's all downhill from there. I still haven't run mine yet but I doubt I will get into the 12's considering I'm MT. Congrats!

birdmanx1 03-21-2011 09:02 AM

What's going on with Darren & Lance?

Brian,

those pics turned out great!

Darren looks like he is up to no good in that pic; Lance clearly appears to be invading Darren's personal space and he is completely like "in your face" about it :bowrofl:

Thanks! Yeah I know, everything just went perfect for that run. I wanted to go to get a baseline for my future mods, but I don't think it worked out so well :icon17:

Yeah as the weather get warmer and as you start to overthink it will get harder lol. Right now is great weather for tracking. I should get a baseline before my FI exhaust comes in. Sorry to derail this thread!

Yea he is standing as straight as a toothpick and as fresh as if he just got out of the British Air Force but he's all twisted by the shoulders. If I were his drill sergeant I would have sent him off peeling some more potatoes :roflpuke2:

The real question is whats going on behind Lance, Al's arm seems to be hiding out of sight a little too well and that smile seems to be a little devious.

This is my "Z", there are many like it, but this one is mine.

My "Z" is my best friend, it is my life, I must master it as I must master my life.

Without me my "Z" is useless, without my "Z", "I" am useless.

I must drive my "Z" true, I must drive faster than the ricer that is trying to catch me.

I must smoke him, before he smokes me...

I will, before God I swear this creed, my "Z" and myself are defenders of the V6, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviours of my life.
