If they don't have one in stock that you want they may be able to track one down locally.

you can also look at Carmax whitemarsh. they have new ones at good prices...

They seem to have excellent below invoice pricing.
Has anyone bought a new one from them?

My brother bought his Xterra from them. He had a good experience.

But it's worth pointing out that:
  • that price is the one you're getting. there is no haggling them down.
  • they will still try to screw you on financing the deal, just like every other dealer. do your homework before setting foot in their showroom.

Just get financed before you go to the dealer.

You don't have to do that, although it is a good idea. After all, if a dealer is advertising some sick rate, it may be worth doing it through them.

But at the same time, know what rate you can qualify for before walking in the door, and don't accept anything higher.

I would get financing beforehand, so you KNOW what rate you're going to pay. If the dealer can beat that, awesome, but definitely don't go in there intent on financing through the dealer.

The price they list seems to beat most local dealers
I'll be paying cash so the financing is not an issue.

The prices that dealers list are intentionally higher, though. You are meant to go in and haggle them down.

Carmax prices always hover right around invoice, but you can get most dealers to sell at or below invoice.

Do some research. I mean, the ball is in your court right now. Worst case scenario, you can buy at carmax for X price. You can always check around and see if a dealer is willing to beat that.

I understand dealer pricing, whitemarsh carmax sells their Z's for about
$1,600 under invoice

No, you didn't. And I don't want to come off as condescending or anything in my posts. I aim to be helpful. I honestly hope you get the deal you're after, and then I hope you enjoy your Z as much as I do mine! :D

Magaton370Z 11-12-2010 11:59 AM

Looks like the prices at car max arnt bad at all! I will definately keep them in mind and possibly use them to try and get the dealer to beat it or match it since car max doesnt seem to have the color and package combo i'm looking for.. Again, thanks for all the help everyone! This forum seems to be alot nicer and more helpful then some of the others ive been on!
