Caravan plans through VA and NC

Anybody headed to ZDayZ on Wednesday, May 18th is welcome to join the caravan that leaves the Richmond area at 9:00 am, from 4501 Commonwealth Centre Pkwy, Midlothian, VA 23112. (see maps linked below).

There will be at least a dozen Z cars at the start (including those of fellow forum members DarkPath and PapoZalsa), and hopefully others joining enroute. If you're headed to Fontana and want to meet-up along the way, send an e-mail to webmaster@richmondzcar.com so we can coordinate.

If we don't see you along the way, I hope we'll at least see you there!

I'll be taking that route home, but not there. Should be more fun than 81.

umm, I am no longer going to ZDayZ, but I am registered. If registrations somehow become a hot commodity, I'd like to sell mine :)

Registration isn't an issue, lodging is though if you have a cabin or room available

9:00AM is kind of late to leave Richmond. It is a 9+hr drive on a caravan. I think we should leave earlier. ;)

He no longer owns a Z. Not that that's an excuse not to go. Look at Steve for God's sake.....he's still going. But he is STEVE - GOD OF THE 5.0's so no wonder he'll be there! :icon17:

At least I have a Nissan badge on my car though...

Frank could have taken a piece of notebook paper or maybe cardboard and drawn a nice Nissan symbol and taped it to his new vehicle. No one would have paid it any mind.

The planned route takes only 7.5 hours. We took the same route last year with a caravan, including multiple stops to pick up participants along the way (plus a side trip through the suburbs of Winston-Salem).

Last year, we left an hour-and-a-half later (~10:30) and arrived at Fontana with several hours of daylight to spare. Granted, we did have HKYStormFront along for the second half of the drive, and that guy TEARS IT UP. :driving: (Being a South Carolinian, he must have a good radar detector. )

This year, we should get into Fontana by mid-afternoon.

Ok, but we don't want the run the risk of getting a ticket or several tickets. ;)
