So this years event is May 19-22 correct? Depending on my money situation I 'm really going to try and go to this. Is there an updated website? Or do you just register on the ZDayZ website? Just trying to find some more info but the sites not helping much.

If you go to the registration page on the zdayz website, it is indeed for 2011.

I believe it's May 19-22. I'm registered for 5/18-5/22, and I think we're all driving down the 18th, if you want to meet up with our caravan in VA.

Where in VA do you guys meet, if I end up doing this meeting up with some guys who know what there doing would be very helpful. So the Fontana Resort is where we meet first when we get down there? Is that where we are going to be staying every night or do we bounce around from different hotels?

Let me dig up some pics of what I tried to do last year... Road Wrap is a PITA and looks terrible. Painters tape looks so much better!

We meet at our usual VA meeting location in Fairfax, VA. We leave at 6AM and get down there at 4.

The entire event takes place at the Fontana Village Resort, so that's where we say.

I don't care what it looks like in transit as long as I don't have to scrape bugs off when I get there...

Oh, if I can make mine look better we will just say you suck at applying vinyl also..

:icon17: Honestly, I tried billions of times and it just doesn't look good. I really felt like painters tape looked much better and more professional.

The one thing I didn't try was using a heat gun to see if I could conform to curves better, but I wasn't sure what would happen to the adhesive if I did that. I didn't want to rip any paint off of it. :icon17:

Speaking of which, it DID leave a bit of a residue that was hard to remove.

I ended up giving up and went down there without any coverage. There wasn't much in the way of bugs so the car was looking good on arrival.

No problem. I'm the cruise organizer/leader so I will have a thread set up in a month or two with all the details.
