I have this and it works pretty well. I used it for a 3 hour road trip to New Jersey a few weeks ago.

Mainly to protect from rock chips, I did the same to mine and it worked like a charm. For $14.00 at Lowe's the two rolls latest me for the roundtrip, can't ask for more.;)

HOLY CRAP ON A STICK!

Yeah, not so good. Mine looked a lot better. Spent about 15 minutes on it, but I don't have any pics of it.
