Attn Northern VA 370Z owners

Where do you take your Z for service? Recommendations please. Any particularly good mechanics or service advisors? Aftermarket friendly, that is, will they install an aftermarket exhaust?

Thanks!

Brown's Fairfax Nissan seems to be pretty receptive to modded Zs...

As far as other shops in the area, we've been checking out Leehigh Auto and D&V Auto over in the Chantilly/Dulles area. Function Tuned is there as well (G/Z specialists). AAM Competition just opened their new shop out in Annapolis Junction -- they did Lou's TT build.

If you're like me, you just DIY everything that's not overly complicated. :)

When are you going to come on out to our Saturday meets? We need a 40th Anniversary there!!!

Bought mine at Brown's but haven't been back to ask service questions. Where is info about Sat meets? Appreciate your response.

No prob!

Here's the meet thread: http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...rday-10am.html

We meet at 10AM every Saturday morning at the Fair Lakes Starbucks (the one next to the D1cks Sporting Goods and Kohl's) and usually go to noonish. Sometimes we go to grab lunch afterwards... usually have great turnouts on the nice weather days!

I know exactly where it is; I'm over at Fair Lakes all the time. Eat lunch on weekends at Logans probably 2-3 times a month. See you soon.

I'm in the same boat here. Just hit the 1000 mile mark. Haven't decided on a place for service yet. I followed the advice of a fella 370z forum member and got a clear protection shield installed at D&V Autobody in Chantilly last month. I was impressed with the facility and job they did. Will try to be at Starbucks next Saturday.

Man, I would love to see some 40th anniversary editions out there. I personally love the interior and exterior color combo.

There is something in the water in Fairfax I think!

I think it just comes with the territory. Fairfax is one of the richest counties in America (at one point I think it was ranked #1) and Northern VA as a whole is very wealthy... I mean, even our pizza delivery guys drive around in brand new 3 Series coupes and the Porsche 911 is our area's most common car! :icon18:

Yeah, I'm certain the jobs and the money they pay has a lot to do with it, but so many 370Zs is still impressive! Now, if we can get all of them to one of our Saturday meets. I'm thinking a Gordon Biersch meet might be in the makings for lets say Saturday after ZDayZ or very soon thereafter. What do you think?

I wouldn't do the Saturday following... we need time to recover! Maybe two-three weeks after we get back we could do another GB meet... that'd be great.

I have to say, I hope our Saturday meets don't get too big. It'd be kind of like when the cozy little local eating spot in Georgetown get's written up in all the papers and now you can't get a table because there are so many people!!! :icon18:

Recover from what? You said you weren't doing any drinking! Yeah, you're probably right about waiting a few weeks. As far as the meets getting too big, I don't think we have to worry about that for a long while. Weekly meets usually ensure that the overall crows stays thin.

He and Lance are going for wine and cheese, remember? That has to be it!

Whether I drink or not, it's going to be an exhausting weekend with lots of driving!
