I think this belongs in this thread:

my laptop needs a breathalyzer and someone want to help me find that cat that shat in my mouth? :icon14::icon14:

 this guy for enjoying too many frosty beverages last night.

Me, Rob, and Al were watching Super Troopers while waiting for my wheels to dry today.

eastwest2300 09-01-2012 09:41 PM

How'd they turn out?

b1adesofcha0s 09-01-2012 10:01 PM

We'll find out in the daylight tomorrow morning :icon17:

Everything was going smoothly till we started putting the paint on. Seems like the combination of the high temps and humidity caused the paint to come out weird. It was like bubbling and not going on smoothly. We did the best we could and I think it turned out alright. Might need to do a little wet sanding and put on another coat of clear to smooth them out a little more. Not bad for a first time DIY though.

Thats odd about the paint bubbling.. thats weird.

Yeah we actually had to sand down some of the bubbling and repaint it :shakes head:

Paint can be a b1tch, once you spray it, usually theres no going back.

b1adesofcha0s 09-01-2012 10:55 PM

Still not bad considering I did all 4 wheels for less than how much it would cost to get one done professionally. They're gonna be covered in brake dust like 90% of the time anyway :p

Are these the same wheels that you plastidipped? Your base wheels?

Yup my base wheels, but I have had the plasti dip taken off for a while now.
