Just curious, have any of you changed the differential fluid yet in your Z's? If so, what fluid did you put in? I am having my mechanic put in redline 75w-90 gear oil. Ive read that even after only 1600 miles the diff fluid came out disgusting.

Diff fluid almost always comes out smelling nasty. What are you going to use? Redline is good stuff.

redline, I know diff fluid and tranny fluid smell terrible, but Ive read at least 7 threads where people changed the diff fluid at like 1600 miles and there was metal shavings and crud everywhhere in the fluid when they drained it.

That's pretty normal. Always a good idea to drain that shizzz early to get all that break-in junk out of it.

Almost got taken out by an old lady in a big black caddy...

She decided that she was going to follow the truck into the post office parking lot. Truck had lots of room. The caddy not so much. She was 3/4 of the way into my lane before she got it stopped. I had the antilock brakes maxed out and just managed to steer around her. I think there was less than an inch between her bumper and my drivers side wheel.

Thank god no one was pulling out of the post office lot or I would have been screwed...

Very glad you're ok, Kirk!

Damn, glad you escaped ok. I know which post office you're talking about and I've had some close calls there as well.
