We've gotta organize fun stuff like this

Cheese steak run!!!! March 20th - MY350Z.COM Forums

I'm not much of a my350z.com kinda guy (guess, I've finally realized I'm an old, fat fart), but they do some fun cruises.

We've gotta do something like this with the 370's fellers!

I don't know all the fun spots or good eating places in cool places otherwise I'd try organizing stuff like this.

I'm down to start attending some more Mid-A cruises/meets now that the weather is nicer.

Pick a place and I'll try to show up with a few Z's.

We are already doing that. Did you click that link I posted? I mean more of a day long cruise like they are doing tomorrow.

Getting to the old fart days, myself... still enjoy a fun time with fellow enthusiasts, though.

Yea I checked out the thread at my350 but I can't make it tomorrow.
If only I had known about this a couple weeks ago.

I'm open but wouldn't do it with those guys. Don't know any of them and from their posts, they seem to be a bit...what's the word I'm looking for...

Ah, I'll just leave it at that. :tiphat:

We will do fun things. We will.

Those folks don't hang out here. I probably will skip that.

tooohip 03-19-2010 09:42 PM

I'm going for a drive tomorrow... Perhaps will make it to Starbucks, but driving for sure, not standing around. ;-)

rarwz 03-20-2010 08:00 AM

Lance, Trisha and I went up to see the townhome being built and then went up to Glen Burnie to The Canopy for Pit Beef sandwhiches. Its a little hole in the wall but they serve a great Pit Beef with horse radish sauce. Maybe on another weekend after the meet we can head up for a pit beef sandwhich?

Fursure! I think we should also copy the Philly trip for a cheese steak one of these Saturday's. ;-)

rarwz 03-22-2010 05:42 AM

I confess, I've done a few trips to philly just for a cheesesteak or two and then back to MD.
Post a date, the wife and I are in!

With my wacky schedule and honey-do list, I'm forced to be more of a last-minute scheduler these days... hopefully that will change some day.

I hate to bring this post up again, but why don't you hang out with fellow drivers that actually love to drive their cars. At an autocross, ages range from 18 year olds in the best vehicle they can afford (usually barely street worthy) to retired enthusiasts in replica Cobras and Daytona's.

All the pretense that goes along with the newest coil overs, long tube intakes, and carbon fiber crap dissolves when a kid in a 1988 Honda Civic schools a 2009 Mustang.

No one talks sh*t because they know that they will have to put their money where their mouth is.

I regret not getting involved in autocross earlier. I am partial to my clubhttp://www.capitaldrivingclub.com/ but check out autocrossers inc. and the local BMW clubs.

We do plan on doing stuff like that, too, but it's nice to be able to grab a cup of coffee and talk about nothing but Z's.

I know a few of us in the group plan on doing some HPDEs in the summer. :)

Not sure how this has to do with the topic, but I may do an auto-cross. However, I'm more of a "get out in the country" type of driver. ;-)

I agree. I would go to the Auto X's but I won't run. They aren't for me. I stick to the VIRs and Summits and what not. Oh and I like hitting up the 1/8th and 1/4 mile every now and then. :)

rarwz 03-24-2010 06:04 AM

start small and work our way up?

1hr or so coffee break seems like a good start.

I was born into a 1/4 mile family, so thats where I spent my early years, never been to an autox event.
