Dude, just wash the salt off as soon as you can.. thats what I would do.

I wish I could, I don't have access to a water hose at my apartment complex, I need to find a car wash or detailer...

That's exactly what I did lol, I went through Pennsylvania without speeding or seeing a single cop... but as soon as I hit Ohio and decide to have a lil fun, I whip by a cop literally 2 seconds later and facepalmed...

Exactly, I drive 5 over the limit, if im feeling spirited, ten over.

But then again, maybe 5 is too fast, considering 3mph over in grand island is considered speeding...........ugh im still pissed about that.

We have to remember here that Virginia cops a much less forgiving than MD cops where traffic matters are concerned. In MD, 5-10 over is the flow of traffic.

m4a1mustang 01-03-2012 07:56 AM

There's always a bit of a shock once you cross into MD (no, not the shado shock... that's later) and realize that you need to be going 20-30 over to keep up on 495. :icon17:

I was in my Pilot when I was pulled over. When I asked him what I was doing he said "a little fast, 3mph over"..........I asked him if he was serious and he just ignored me. I just took it and went on my way. Its just its all the way up in Buffalo and Im not about to have my insurance sky rocket. Fortunately for me, my wife's grandfather (went to her grandmother's funeral) is on his death bed up there so ill have a reason to go up there later this month and can kill two birds with one stone. If he can hang on for at least 3 more weeks im fine, but better not be before or after.

Im going to hell.

Honestly, if that doesnt get thrown out, I'll be shocked. Isnt it fairly common knowledge that there can be a +/- 5 mph swing on speedometers? Not to mention tire wear can impact it slightly...there are lots of angles you could approach arguing this ticket.

Well its quite common on Grand Island from what ive heard, my wife's parents got nabbed for going 4 over once and it was thrown out since her dad had a clean driving record. Its just one stretch in front of the school on the island where theyll sit on the side and just pull people cause theyre bored......its not like theres ever too much going on in GI anyways.
